The bubbles obscured Leon's view, so he didn't notice, and had no chance to wake his Rillaboom.
"Roar!" The Mizutsune descended from the sky and pounced, opening its mouth and spitting out a water gun hundreds of meters long. The sharp jet of water easily penetrated the Rillaboom's left shoulder. If the Mizutsune hadn't held back, it would have been the Rillaboom's head, and the gorilla would have died instantly.
