Alexander stared at the metal box in Jack's hands, with a red rose on top of it. The box appeared to be open.
Jack lowered himself to his knees and began to cry.
"I'm sorry, I opened it. The guard found it in front of the gate. I thought it was something dangerous," he said in a choked voice.
Alexander took a deep breath, still trying to stay calm. This was just a nightmare, he was sure he could resolve it quickly.
Even so, he felt his hands trembling as he stepped forward, roughly grabbed the box, and opened it quickly.
When he saw Huan's jacket, he tried to calm down. He made sure the jacket really belonged to Huan. And indeed, it was the jacket Huan had worn yesterday morning. He knew that jacket well.
He slammed the box down on the table. He took the jacket, spread it out, and saw dried bloodstains in several places, enough to make his stomach tighten. His chest began to tremble.
