On the sleek top floor of the Salazar Group building, Alexander was busy in a meeting with several people seated on the sofas. Huan stood by the window with a tablet, and Jack leaned against the door, checking his watch.
Alexander's private phone buzzed. It was Louis.
Interrupting the meeting, he answered the call. Louis rarely contacted him unless it was truly important.
"What is it, Louis?" Alexander asked, not looking up from his papers.
"I'm sorry, Boss. It's urgent... I can't find Nathan," Louis's voice was thin and trembling. "Nael said he was in the library. But I've checked the entire school, every class, even the rooftops. He isn't here. I can't reach his phone."
Alexander's pen stopped moving. The air in the room seemed to drop ten degrees. Huan and Jack straightened instantly.
"What are you talking about?" Alexander asked, his voice dangerously low. "You lost him?"
