Louis followed Zane's sports car as it sped toward the elite residential area at the top of the hill. The area was very quiet, with rows of multi-story houses enclosed by high fences.
Zane's house was located higher up, past an empty lot.
Nathan stared at the black gate where Zane's car stopped. A few moments later, the gate opened, and Zane got out of his car and headed toward Nathan's.
What's going on? Nathan thought.
Zane knocked on the car window, and Nathan opened it immediately. "What's wrong?"
"Come with me. He'll stay here. It's better for you to go in my car than to walk."
Nathan didn't understand. He could walk, and it wasn't a problem for him. But he nodded anyway.
Louis looked at Nathan. "I'll be right here at the gate, Nathan. Just tell me when you're done."
"You don't have to wait for me here. I'll call you when I'm done. You should enjoy your time," Nathan said, not wanting to bore the man with waiting.
