Chapter 259 - Chapter 259 Hidan: Kakuzu, Have You Gone Senile? How Did All Your Technique Miss?

Takumi crouched down and said with a smile, "Since there are only three of you left anyway, is there really a need to revive the clan?"

"You!" Suzumebachi looked up, resentfully at Takumi.

She hadn't expected Takumi to still be able to say such callous remarks.

"If you want to revive your clan, why not follow me? Of course, not to Konoha with me."

Takumi suddenly said seriously. "It's too early to talk about this now, but I will definitely become a figure renowned throughout the entire Shinobi World in the future. Following me, the chances of reviving your clan would be higher."

"Who do you think you are? The Shodaime Hokage?"

Suzumebachi said with exasperation, though the anger in her heart gradually subsided a bit.

Although it was forced, Takumi didn't shirk responsibility and showed a sense of accountability.

Although in Suzumebachi's eyes, the words of Takumi, still a youth, couldn't completely convince her.

And who would proclaim themselves a future great figure?

Too immodest.

"I am the future Godaime Hokage."

Takumi wasn't angered either, saying with a smile, "Although I haven't assumed the position yet, by that time, you'll know how amazing I am."

"Wait!"

Suzumebachi looked up in surprise. "You're the Godaime Hokage? Are you that hero Takumi who's been widely talked about in Konoha lately?! You're actually this young?"

"Oh? So you've heard of me."

Once recognizing his identity, Suzumebachi was completely shocked.

To think she had, through a strange twist of fate, become the woman of Konoha's hero!

Takumi said with a smile, "In that case, it's easier. But my comrades mentioned my name earlier, right? Why didn't you recognize me?"

"Who knew you'd be so young, even younger than me!"

Suzumebachi pouted. "You're Konoha's hero. Of course, I thought you'd be an uncle with a weathered face!"

"Why a weathered-faced uncle?" Takumi's the corner of his mouth twitched, suddenly finding this woman a bit strange.

"Don't you think uncles have a lot of masculinity?" Suzumebachi suddenly lifted her head, looking reverent.

"Hey hey..." Takumi looked at her speechlessly. "Even if they have masculinity, what does that have to do with me? I like women, not men."

"Oh right."

Suzumebachi realized, then said embarrassedly, "Then what now? You did that to me. You have to take responsibility."

"I will definitely take responsibility. But can you come back to Konoha with me?" Takumi raised an eyebrow.

"Hmm, no." Suzumebachi shook her head worriedly.

Their Kamizuru Clan had once planned to attack Konoha, only to be thwarted by the Aburame Clan, which solidified the Aburame Clan's position in Konoha while their Kamizuru Clan was abandoned by the Tsuchikage.

Now they were down and out to only three people.

Thinking of this, her expression turned gloomy.

"It's fine. Later, when I meet the Third Tsuchikage, I'll have him make arrangements to reaccept your clan."

"You can really do that?"

Takumi said with a smile, "Of course."

Suzumebachi held Takumi's hand, looking deeply and affectionately at him.

"I didn't expect you to be such a caring and righteous person. I thought Konoha's Shinobi were all cold-blooded and ruthless killers..."

In just this short while, Suzumebachi's opinion of Takumi completely changed.

What enemy?

No!

This was her future man!

Considerate, just, and powerful!

She didn't lose out on this deal!

Getting dressed neatly, the two walked out of the cave.

However, as soon as they stepped out, Takumi saw two figures wearing cloud-patterned cloaks.

They were none other than Kakuzu and Hidan.

"Hey! What were you doing in there?! Making those sounds!" Hidan complained.

Do you know how long they waited outside?!

A full two hours!

Hearing this, Takumi didn't say anything, but Suzumebachi's face suddenly turned crimson.

She waved her hands repeatedly. "What nonsense are you talking about! We didn't make any strange sounds! And we definitely didn't do any strange things!"

Takumi looked at her strangely, then whispered, "Haven't you basically admitted to everything?"

"Urgh..." Suzumebachi's face turned even ruddier.

"Enough of that useless talk."

Kakuzu looked seriously at Takumi. "I came here to find you and settle our unfinished battle. This time, I will definitely kill you."

"Pfft!"

Takumi couldn't help but laugh, then immediately held back his smile and nodded. "Alright, no problem."

"Hidan, you go over there first."

Kakuzu sent Hidan to the side, then took off his cloud-patterned cloak.

Then his body wriggled, and four hearts emerged. "Dare you take my attacks head-on? Instead of dodging around like a stray dog?"

"Stray dog?"

Takumi smiled and said, "Alright, no problem."

Takumi recognized Kakuzu's deliberate attempt to provoke him, but he didn't care.

So what if he didn't use his dodging skill?

He still had enough methods to deal with this guy.

Takumi inwardly sneered.

Then, he activated his once-a-day Incredible Luck ability.

A glint of delight flashed in Kakuzu's eyes.

'As expected of a youngster, easily provoked and getting carried away.'

"Fire Release: ..."

He was about to perform the Ninjutsu, but his foot stepped on empty air.

Startled, his Chakra output became somewhat disordered, causing the Ninjutsu to fail. The mask representing fire only spewed a ring of black smoke.

Kakuzu's old face flushed red. He hadn't made such a basic mistake in decades.

"Hmph! I was just careless a moment ago."

He gave a futile explanation.

Then he forcefully bent his arm open, revealing the pitch-black, tentacle-like blood vessels inside.

These tentacle blood vessels surged forward, but halfway, they tangled into a clump, momentarily unable to unravel.

"Dammit! What's going on!"

Kakuzu glared angrily with his eyes, his dark cheeks actually looking somewhat flushed from embarrassment.

"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"

A large amount of flame spewed from the mask's mouth.

However, the direction...

"What's going on?"

Kakuzu looked bewildered, turning to look at his mask. He found that the Fire Release mask's Ninjutsu was actually aimed at the sky.

A heap of burning insects fell from the sky, carrying the fragrant scent of roasted meat.

"Smells pretty good. Want to try some?" Takumi simply sat cross-legged on the ground, one hand propping up his chin as he watched.

"Dammit! Don't get cocky!" Kakuzu's the corner of his mouth twitched.

He felt like he had run into evil spirits!

"Earth Release: Earth Spikes!"

A strange gust of wind blew the mask askew, causing the earth spikes emerging from the ground to shoot out from beside Takumi.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!"

A giant insect suddenly intruded randomly, blocking the path in front of Takumi.

Kakuzu's forehead veins bulged.

Meanwhile, Hidan and Suzumebachi on the side were stunned.

'What's wrong with Kakuzu-san?'

'Dammit, isn't he even aiming his Ninjutsu at the target?'

'How did they all miss?!'

'Has he gone senile?'

'That's right, considering how old he is, senile dementia is a possibility.'

Hidan nodded quite seriously.
