Chapter 344 - Power Armor

The news media had been lively for the past few days. One day they reported that Queen Consolidated was forcing former middle-class doctors to beg on the streets. The next day they claimed the LexCorp group's day-and-night overtime had driven several employees insane.

Both sides exchanged blows back and forth for several rounds, maintaining a subtle bottom line—probing without costing lives. Just as several domestic analysts were making irresponsible remarks analyzing the development of the situation, things suddenly quieted down. No one on the street sued Thea anymore, and LexCorp had no further supernatural incidents.

Things were just like at the beginning: appearing abruptly, then disappearing quickly from everyone's sight.

...

Thea didn't bother getting too involved, because her armor was in its final stage.

"Power system intact, propulsion device intact, auxiliary operating system intact. 3, 2, 1, start!" In the secret base, Felicity carefully stared at the various indices on the display screen. Thea stood to the front left. Four mechanical arms were in front of her, quickly helping her equip the suit of armor the two of them had spent days grinding away to build.

Unlike the Iron Man next door (Marvel), Thea herself had sufficient combat power. She just needed some powerful defensive capabilities; she didn't need a fully enclosed armor. Her armor was less like Iron Man's and more like Doctor Doom's.

Traditional metals couldn't achieve perfect fusion with magic power. After much thought, Thea finally brought out the corpse of the Shark God Kamo.

Disemboweling and dismembering couldn't even describe her brutality. The inner layer next to the skin was traditional metal; the auxiliary operating system and energy conduction system were all in this layer.

The slightly outer layer was Kamo's remains. Although Kamo was incredibly weak, he was a god after all. His body still possessed decent magic conductivity. Thea engraved a large number of practical magic circles on this layer: Strength, Agility, Endurance, and so on—all spells that could improve overall performance.

The outermost layer was made entirely of Hafnium. This metal, which could only be synthesized artificially, had extremely high hardness, melting point, and mass. Hafnium metal had the effect of resisting nuclear bombs head-on. Considering several aspects, it was the most suitable armor material for Thea.

Not needing full body armor that wrapped people up like Iron Man meant there naturally weren't as many places needing fastening. The defense at the body joints would be lower, but the agility was much better than Tony Stark's straight-punch-straight-kick attack mode.

Thea's dressing was fast. Shoulder guards, chest guards, arm guards, and leg guards were all installed. A silver-white helmet was worn on her head. The Eye of Horus crushed all detection equipment, so no face mask was manufactured, but a mask covering the face would appear during combat.

The armor was silver-white overall but carried red patterns. As a symbol for a long time to come, a cloak was a must-have.

The two had another argument over the color of the cloak.

"The cloak should be green, right? A green cloak with silver-white armor feels like a good match?" Felicity remembered the skateboard color dispute from that day and insisted on green.

Thea broke into a sweat. Silver armor, green cloak? Isn't that just Doctor Doom? Will he cross dimensions to come fight me for it?

She used the same rhetoric as before—something about green being easily associated with decay, withering, and a bunch of nonsense. In the end, Thea gained the upper hand. The same color as the skateboard back then: a red cloak!

Dressing complete, some tests were needed. The first test was Strength. Even a kid understood that brute strength trumps fancy technique. Superman and Diana both relied on strength to crush enemies. Even Shazam and Black Adam in the later stages, clearly Caster-types, were punching people every day. It was evident that the Strength attribute was a must-have.

"500 tons!"

"620 tons!"

"700 tons!"

"770 tons!"

The final strength was fixed at 850 tons. However, this was only the result of the White Dwarf Star running at 50% power. If overloaded, breaking through 1000 tons would be no problem.

Next was the Speed test. Thea herself relied on magic to fly, with a speed of about 700 km/h. With the Yellow Lantern Ring running at full power, she could exceed Mach 2 within the atmosphere, but it couldn't last; the emotional consumption would be fast.

The suit's propulsion system came from the Red Room. Its full name was the Rotating Core Power Amplifier. Converting the White Dwarf Star's energy into propulsion, its speed could stably exceed the speed of sound, which was Mach 1.

On paper, that was slower than the Lantern Ring, but it had no consumption for herself. Plus, it had powerful defense and an optical camouflage stealth function. From the perspective of concealment and safety, it exceeded the Lantern Ring.

"Do we still test the weapon system?" Thea avoided satellites, flew a few laps at low altitude nearby, and returned to the secret base. Felicity asked.

"Let's try it. With the White Dwarf Star's energy supply, the freeze gun's sustainability will definitely be stronger." They hadn't considered the weapon system too much, directly installing freeze guns—one on each hand. Thea looked down a bit on the Red Room Laboratory's White Noise Cannon; a cone-shaped sonic attack with too low lethality. Dr. Silas Stone guarded it so tightly that those who didn't know would think it was some powerful weapon.

Installed on the arms, the freeze gun's battery life and firing speed were both improved. A twenty-square-meter room could now be completely frozen in one second. Back when Thea used the freeze gun against Enchantress, she had sprayed for half a minute before freezing that small hut.

Before the testing was complete, the two accidentally discovered a hidden attribute of the armor. This set of armor had excellent underwater combat performance. According to Gideon's calculations, the speed of this armor underwater could reach 1500 nautical miles per hour. It could be said that this armor was faster underwater than in the sky.

This was undoubtedly the effect of Kamo's corpse. Thea couldn't help but secretly think, Maybe this guy wasn't a weakling. From this bit of superficial data, it could be analyzed that the opponent might have been very fierce underwater!

In this world, the fastest underwater speed should be the superhero Aquaman. Holding the divine artifact Trident, his super swimming speed could reach 10,000 feet per second, which was more than 3000 meters, translating to nearly 6000 nautical miles per hour.

"Sigh..." Thea looked down at Kamo's remaining wreckage. This guy probably died with grievances, right? Hit with a full set of control skills on land by her group, he died without ever displaying his own abilities. If not for this power armor, he probably would have only left behind the name of a piece of trash.

The development of armor was endless. Thea felt a bit unhappy that the first set of armor she researched with such great ambition turned out to be underwater combat armor.

Moreover, how to equip it quickly was also a problem needing urgent solution. The only thing Thea could think of was using magic's adsorption characteristics to complete a quick change, but that should be a consideration for the next set of armor.

Her defense problem was temporarily solved. The rest was the safety of those around her. Luthor had quieted down, but harassment from petty criminals had never stopped. Thea specifically instructed Diggle to protect the group's several presidents. At the same time, she made a small freeze gun for Felicity. If the bodyguards were unreliable, this gun would still be very effective.
