Mitokado Homura was extremely relaxed, even in the mood to tease Genji.
Genji, however, had an unpleasant expression. Mitokado Homura was mocking him for being unworthy of the Mizukage title yet coveting the power and position.
Genji said, "Mitokado Homura, it's a surprise Ōnoki didn't crush your bones to ashes."

Genji mainly attacked Mitokado Homura for being a dog following behind Sarutobi Hiruzen.
It wasn't that Yōkō lacked class; these were Genji's exact words.
After half an hour of mutual insults, Genji finally couldn't take it anymore. He said:
"This is simply a waste of tea. Shut up already. Say something useful. What is Konoha prepared to offer for my Kirigakure to withdraw our troops?"
