Overturning The Statute of Secrecy had been easier than expected, but for Tver, the truly busy work would come after it was overturned.
Of course, before that, Tver still had to remain at Hogwarts for the time being and help deal with Voldemort, as well as the pile of trouble he himself had caused.
With the help of the house-elves, rebuilding Hogwarts was actually simple enough.
Speaking of which, the most destructive part had instead been the battle between Tver and Voldemort.
To put it bluntly, the reason Hogwarts looked so battered was entirely because the large stretch of grass outside the castle had been overturned.
In truth, no one knew whether it was because Salazar's magic and the castle's own protective mechanisms were powerful enough, or because the Death Eaters had held back, or both.
In any case, inside the castle, only the entrance to the Great Hall and a few windows used to cover the Weasley twins while they fired Blasting had been attacked by the Death Eaters, and those were repaired in no time.
The parts of the buildings that had suffered the worst damage were actually the walls and the school gates, which the Death Eaters had used to hold off the Aurors.
After Voldemort seized partial authority over Hogwarts, the reason he had been able to suppress the castle while also blocking the Aurors' attack, despite being attacked from inside and outside, was that he had made very good use of those walls.
They had set many traps and Protective Enchantments on the walls. In a sense, they had become the side protecting the walls.
But the anxious Aurors outside had not held back. Under Cynthia and Marvolio's leadership, their assault on the walls and gates was no weaker than the Dark Wizards' attack on the castle.
And so, under that tug-of-war, the walls finally could not bear the pressure and suffered the most severe damage since Hogwarts was founded.
On top of that, in order to let Frost come in and film, Tver had removed the Protective Enchantments the Founders and successive Headmasters had placed over this land.
So after seeing the bustling scene here, the Prime Minister, ambassadors, and merchants from various countries only took a brief tour of Hogwarts. After agreeing to visit again another time, they left one after another.
And Tver, who had just been so high-spirited, now had to endure Dumbledore's death glare.
"Do you know?" Dumbledore said, forcibly suppressing his anger.
After all, Tver's public image still had to be maintained. Otherwise, it would be difficult for him to preside over the Confederation's work in the future.
"Hogwarts' protective mechanisms are the result of many ancient spells, so old they have been lost, working together. Even I, never mind restoring them, would probably be unable to figure out exactly how many spells were cast here."
Tver smiled sheepishly.
In reality, it was precisely because of so many ancient and powerful Protective Enchantments that Hogwarts had formed such a strong protective magnetic field.
For the wizarding world, even the Ministry of Magic had never reached this level.
"That isn't necessarily a bad thing," Grindelwald said carelessly.
"Ancient also means outdated. Since The Statute of Secrecy can be overturned, Hogwarts should naturally enter a new era as well."
As he looked over Hogwarts, he shook his head and sighed, appearing even more concerned about the school's future than Tver or Dumbledore.
"If you ask me, the school's teaching methods should keep up with the times. To put it unpleasantly, if Tver hadn't brought combat courses here, those students probably wouldn't have survived this war safe and sound."
Hearing this, Dumbledore frowned tightly, but could not refute it.
The results of Tver's six years of teaching had been fully displayed in this final battle.
Through cooperation between team members and between small squads, the students had maintained enough flexibility while also gaining an advantage in strength.
Although they had been protected by the professors and members of the Order of the Phoenix, the fact that so many students had survived without a single death, and only a few unlucky ones had suffered minor injuries, proved the greatest value of this combat method.
So even though Dumbledore disliked Grindelwald's sleight of hand, he could not argue against that point.
However.
"How could Hogwarts' teaching methods possibly remain unchanged forever? But we must be responsible for the students. If we rashly change the teaching methods and end up causing the students to miss out on useful knowledge and abilities, can you take responsibility for that?" Dumbledore shot back.
"You always have to try. Besides, it's only the teaching method that's changing, not the teaching content. How could the students possibly fail to learn useful knowledge?"
"For students, failing to learn properly is the same as learning the wrong knowledge."
"They study for seven years. At worst, we correct them in time..."
Watching the two of them argue like children, Tver and Harry, who had come over, looked at each other.
But honestly, no one dared step in to break up an argument between these two.
"Is something wrong?" Tver quickly whispered to Harry.
Harry came back to himself and answered just as carefully, "We found Professor Karkaroff unconscious in his office. After he woke up, he insisted on seeing you."
Tver raised an eyebrow in surprise.
In Voldemort's series of plans, kidnapping Harry, hiding, and striking him with the Killing Curse, Karkaroff had been the key.
More importantly, Tver still had not figured out whether Karkaroff had been disguised by Voldemort using Polyjuice Potion, or controlled by the Imperius Curse.
And now that Voldemort was dead, only Karkaroff knew the answer.
With that question in mind, Tver passed through the Great Hall amid a string of cheers and boasts, slowly walking to Karkaroff's office.
Only, just as he reached the door, Karkaroff rushed out.
"Tver, I finally get to see you!"
Karkaroff nervously grabbed Tver's arm, as if afraid he would turn and leave.
"It was indeed my fault that I was coerced by the Dark Lord back then and returned to Hogwarts to deceive you all. But under those circumstances, no normal person could have resisted him. I think you should be able to understand that, right?"
"?"
Tver looked at Karkaroff strangely.
"You mean you weren't under the Imperius Curse, and you weren't being impersonated with Polyjuice Potion. You were purely afraid of Voldemort's threats, so you helped cover up his actions in the school?"
"The Imperius Curse? Impersonation? Why would the Dark Lord do those things?" Karkaroff asked in confusion.
"..."
"Why aren't you speaking? Have you understood me now?" he said loudly, delighted.
"Sorry. You should seek the Wizengamot's understanding instead." Tver waved his hand and bound Karkaroff.
Although he had not expected much courage from Karkaroff, and could understand his choice, after all, Voldemort's methods were not something ordinary people could easily resist.
But hearing him say it so self-righteously still made Tver furious.
Even Peter Pettigrew had been braver than him.
