Chapter 621 - Chapter 621: Concern

After the leaders of both sides decided to end the war with a one-on-one duel, the first to feel disappointed were, surprisingly, the students who had gotten far too excited.

As for the Dark Wizards, they were naturally as relieved as they could be.

Of course, surrender meant years in prison, so some Dark Wizards were unwilling to accept it and tried to break through the Aurors' cordon by force.

That small bit of chaos did not require Tver's orders. Cynthia led the Aurors and quickly dealt with those deluded Dark Wizards.

So by the time Frost hurried over, both sides had already tacitly cleared out a stage for the duel.

Fortunately, whether they had known he was coming or not, the fight did not begin right away. His camera crew had enough time to find a proper angle.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I know you still won't find it easy to believe in the existence of magic, but..."

Frost gave a confident smile and had the cameraman turn the camera toward the sidelines. There, the invited British Prime Minister and the ambassadors of various countries were arriving at Hogwarts one after another with the help of Ministry of Magic staff.

"Do you see that? The British Prime Minister, along with the ambassadors from every powerful country your drowsy, early-morning minds can remember, have all gathered here!"

Only, those important figures paid no attention to Frost's chatter. Instead, they looked anxiously toward Tver, who was about to enter the fight.

After all, to them, still playing out a one-on-one duel in modern warfare was far too old-fashioned, and far too poor a bargain.

"Nothing will happen to Tver, will it? In the future, we'll still need him to guide cooperation between the various countries and the wizarding world. If something goes wrong..."

The British Prime Minister very much wanted to say plainly that even if they had to use missiles to attack and sacrifice this entire school, he did not want to see someone as important as Tver take the field personally.

Grindelwald glanced sideways at him and immediately knew what he was thinking.

"If we want the whole world to accept the existence of wizards and magic as quickly as possible, a duel between top-tier wizards is the most suitable method."

He did not state it outright, but the main purpose of this duel was to leave every muggle watching with the impression that wizards were unfathomable.

The Prime Minister frowned first. From his point of view, the price and the reward did not seem equal.

"But if Tver suffers any..."

"There are no ifs," Grindelwald said confidently.

"If even death cannot defeat Tver, then there is nothing in this world that can threaten him."

In the past, if Tver had abandoned such a favorable situation to fight Voldemort one-on-one, they would definitely have objected.

But now...

Forget Voldemort in his current wretched state. Even if Voldemort were at his peak, they did not think he could pose any threat to the now unfathomable Tver.

To put it bluntly, even if they personally stepped onto the field, they would not get anything good out of Tver's hands.

Sensing that confidence, the Prime Minister and the ambassadors hesitated for a moment before deciding to respect the wizards' judgment.

After all, they could not interfere anyway.

Once they understood that, they immediately turned their attention to the mysterious school and the young wizards nearby.

Their eager gazes made them look like suspicious uncles with ulterior motives.

"You must be Harry Potter, yes? My son especially loves your story. Could you sign something for me?"

"Hermione Granger? Even from the first-year story, I could already see your outstanding leadership ability. Would you be interested in working for the British government after graduation?"

"I heard Mr. Fawley intends to train you into an outstanding leader. Mr. Malfoy, do you have any plans to visit other countries and offer our governments some guidance in magic?"

These people were all sharp and experienced. After probing indirectly and learning that these students had all been taught by Tver, they naturally began thinking of ways to build good relationships with them.

These students might not have graduated yet, but according to the cooperation process agreed upon with Tver, by the time they had grown up, it would be the critical stage of the complete integration of the wizarding world.

As the future backbone of the wizarding world, and as students who shared a teacher-student bond with Tver, the role they could play could not be underestimated.

Dumbledore naturally noticed this, but he was happy to see it happen.

The most worrying part of overturning The Statute of Secrecy was precisely the attitude of each country's government toward the people of the wizarding world.

Fortunately, Tver's actions all this time had shown both the goodwill of wizards and the fact that the strength of wizards, especially top-tier wizards, was not something current technology could match.

So Dumbledore withdrew his gratified gaze, leaving the students to awkwardly deal with the politicians, and walked toward Tver, who had his eyes closed in rest.

"You still seem to be hesitating?"

If there was anyone he felt most gratified by, it was naturally Tver, who had created this nearly perfect situation.

"At this point, there's no use hesitating even if I do," Tver said somewhat helplessly.

Voldemort had launched his attack early. A situation where plans could not keep up with changes left Tver, who was used to everything proceeding step by step, somewhat uncomfortable.

"Although I don't seem to have done much, I'll still shamelessly tell you a little secret." Dumbledore winked playfully.

"You've already done well enough, but preparations are never truly finished."

"To be precise, the situation has never been better," Grindelwald added as he came closer, teasing him with a hint of self-mockery.

"Go. Tell this world that only you can lead humanity toward a better, more prosperous path."

When Tver looked toward Cynthia, who was a step behind them, she smiled calmly.

"I support any decision you make."

"If things went according to your arrangements, wizards could probably rule muggles if they wanted to," Marvolio said, rolling his eyes in annoyance.

If Tver's goal had been to rule muggles, with his current strength and layout, he might truly have been able to do it.

So now, simply overturning a small The Statute of Secrecy was child's play for Tver, not worth worrying about at all.

Tver thought about it and realized that he really had been worrying over nothing. He immediately smiled a little sheepishly.

"Then I..."

"Go on, go on," Marvolio said, waving a hand. Then, as if something had just occurred to him, his expression suddenly became complicated. "Give him an ending. Consider it a proper conclusion to all of this."

He had not expected that there would be a day when Voldemort would suddenly come to his senses. Just moments ago, he had even wanted to persuade Tver to draw Voldemort over to their side.

Unfortunately, Tver would never spare Voldemort, who had committed countless crimes, and he would not give up this once-in-a-lifetime chance to establish his authority.

Besides, with Voldemort's pride, he would never allow himself to be commanded by anyone.

Under Marvolio's complicated gaze, Tver slowly walked to the center of the lawn. There, Voldemort had already grown impatient from waiting.

"I never knew you were so cowardly," Voldemort said, toying with his wand, not the least bit worried about his coming fate.

A faint smile rose at the corner of Tver's mouth.

"Having people to care about is the secret to my strength, Voldemort. I don't think you could understand that."

"It doesn't matter." Voldemort's gaze sharpened, his voice full of provocation.

"When you're dead, those people you care about will probably cry in terrible pain."

The battle was about to begin.
