"You're back?" Vans saw Valmore as soon as he stepped through the door.
He stared behind him. Seeing no one else following behind, he tilted his head in confusion, "Huh? Why is no one with you? Where's the 'half-vampire' you went after?"
Valmore's face darkened after hearing Vans' words. "Tsk." He walked forward growing more irritated when he remembered what had happened.
"Did you send those three back to report the news just to excuse yourself?" Kira asked, unsurprised.
"Did you really come across a half-blood? In my view, I say it's impossible." Lass sneered at her brother.
Valmore's expression worsened with every question. Veins bulged on his forehead. Finally, he snapped, his brows furrowed deeply to show his displeasure.
"Can you all stop being annoying?!"
His voice cracked through the hall like a whip. The room fell silent for a heartbeat, but Vans only folded his arms. "If you failed, just say it. Don't come back here acting like nothing's wrong."
