"Lock… that's my family name, isn't it?" Sitting back against the wall Fragment finds every part of his spirit feels sore. Even his mind feels stretched as if something that was missing is setting back into imaginary cracks that were made from its absence. [Cleansed]
The condition has been gone for over a week yet was supposedly given to every denizen of the world by the System to heal them…
Look at the name on his status page the lines shiver and warp. Continuously shifting between different characters yet remaining just legible enough to read.
Touching upon his center reveals the tiny space has become more real despite seamingly having become even smaller. The burgeoning core has been compressed even further and meshes better with the surrounding space. "I hadn't even realized that the kill energy I get wasn't merging properly." Pulling out the Coruptor Hearts Core he traces along its edges and notices that despite its impressive size, the core is covered is hair line folds and bumps? Using Pulse he's oddly unsurprised by what what he hears. Core-Aberration-Coruptor Heart-Tier 1-Grade H.
Low tier, low grade. Suddenly he looks at his Core differently. The percentage measurement almost seems incomplete? "What if rather my than core just getting smaller… every time it shrinks the quality is getting higher?" Feeling around his smaller center the only other changes that are found is that the skills are no longer grinding against the walls, and the chains representing Bind looks less hazy. Even though it's level hasn't changed. Outside bis center, fibers of what can only be called Faith are slowly getting dissolved by the abundance of astral mass that flows through his body. Intentionally preserving a single stand he pokes at it.
It shivers, sending giving hi
impressions of protection, subordination, and a vage promises of greatness. "Is that really all a blade of grass needs to start worshipping something?" The thin strand faids away within him after only a few minutes sense its purpose has been lost. With the only thing that's able to be determine is that Faith is related to Astral mass, but they are still distinctly different materials.
Ghost stumbles through the grass interrupting Fragments thoughts, she looks a little dazed and frightened.
"That last part was bad for you too huu?…Faith is stupid ain't it." He smiles trying to lighten the mood. She doesn't respond and instead sits across from him and refuses to meet his gaze.
Releasing a sigh he flips over to the reward page in his status book. "Personally I'm pretty sure I dogged a bullet by not get stuck with an unwanted profession, like Acolyte. Plus's I
We learned one of the uses for cores when the System intrupted the dungen announcer. Without a core you can't have a profession, so logically a poorly formeind core should make certain professions unobtainable. Something similar is probably true for classes, since there all housed under the same grouping in the books. Following that logic means if wewant an exceptional class and profession we'll need amazing cores." Ghost nods along absent mind mindedly while reading her own Status book.

CRUNCH!
Looking up Fragment sees Ghost biting into an apple with an almost posed ferver…"Are you okay Ghost?" He asks feeling a little worried.
"This things BLOODY delicious! It's even better than that Force potion, or the cake I ate!" She doesn't stop eating as she talks to him, her normally controlled and uptight persona having slipped.
Before long only the stem is left… curiously the apple had no pit or seeds? How would such a fruit reproduce? "So what Fruit did you choose to eat?" He asks curiously.
"Mind! And it was fantastic! But everything feels so slow now…"
"You're eyes are jittering around like when my brother drank all of uncle's coffee when we were little…" Fragment mumbles.
"Whats your status book say?" After a moment of staring off into space she looks back down at her plastic looking Par•••status book." intelligence and wisdom are now ten! Dexterity , vitality and aura have gone up by one."
Shaking of another bout of dizzynness Fragment ponders his options."I don't have that one available? The rewards must be somewhat customized?" Ghost shrugs at his question and instead begins trying to burn of some energy by taking a nap…
"Pretty sure that'll just make you crash harder later…then again maybe gaining 13 stat points is exaghsting? Every time mine have increased in past few weeks it's been because of pushing myself really hard. What do you say Glutton? Core, Body or Soul?" The Spirit ponders the question for a long moment before sending an invasive presence scorch along though Fragments body, center and core before dubbling back and eventually settling on Fragments center. That scorching feeling blaze twice on their before retreating back to the wepon.
"Is my center my soul! That …actually makes sense. My mind should be my brain, and is clear apart of my body, so why wouldn't my soul be somewhere inside my body too?" I'm a bit uncomfortable learning that my soul is such a real object…but it does explain why my center is such an odd space that can keep changing in both size and quality, yet otherwise remain positively tiny feeling at the same time."
"Soul fruit please." Fragment calls out to the system and is rewarded with a tiny dark Barry appearing in his hand. Hesitatnly after a brief memory of thethe Healthy potion incident, he toss it into his mouth and swallows, reluctantly trusting in Gluttons judgment.
For a long moment nothing happens… "maybe I should have chewed it?" Just as the words leave Fragments lips he falls over in a barely conscious heap. His center squirms a wiggles, the gaits on on wrist, ankles, and neck flair as the boundaries between Astral an physical blur.
