The jet touched down smoothly in Cloud City's pre-dawn darkness. Through the window, Emily could see the media presence Sebastian had warned about....camera crews, journalists, photographers, all held back by security barriers but clearly ready to capture her arrival.
"Last chance to avoid them," Timothy offered quietly.
"No," Emily said, standing and smoothing her clothes. She'd changed during the flight into something elegant but not ostentatious—a simple navy dress that said professional without screaming look at me. "I announced myself to the world yesterday. Now I face the consequences. That means cameras. Questions. Being Princess Emily publicly."
"Then let's give them a show," Timothy said with his dangerous smile.
The jet's door opened. Steps descended. Emily took a deep breath and walked out.
