Sunday Morning - 9:47 AM
Emily woke to sunlight streaming through the curtains and the smell of fresh coffee. For a moment, she forgot where she was, disoriented by the unfamiliar room. Then memory crashed back...Geneva.
Switzerland. The mission to access her mother's evidence.
She got out of bed and found Timothy already dressed, working on his laptop in the suite's living area. Ming Li was doing what looked like tactical stretches while watching Swiss news on the television. Thor was sprawled on the couch, looking perfectly comfortable.
"Morning," Emily said, pouring herself coffee from the pot Alfred had left warming.
"Good morning," Timothy said, looking up with a smile. "You slept longer than I expected. It's almost ten."
"Really?" Emily checked her phone, surprised. She'd fallen asleep around midnight and actually stayed asleep for nearly ten hours. Apparently, exhaustion had overridden anxiety.
