The implication behind Kaelan's question was obvious. He wanted to force Zion into admitting that he was nothing more than a middleman, someone who had merely obtained the Potions from another source and was now reselling them.
Zion, however, only chuckled.
"Who told you these Potions were supplied by someone else?"
The question was asked so casually that several people nearby exchanged glances.
Kaelan's eyes sharpened.
"Then what are you saying?" he asked. "Are you claiming that you made them yourself?"
A mocking laugh escaped him.
"Zion, I never realized you had become this shameless. You can lie with a straight face now without even feeling embarrassed?"
He deliberately raised his voice.
Kaelan wanted everyone in the hall to hear him.
If he could make people doubt Zion's claim, perhaps he could tear down some of the reputation Zion had built over the past few months. The Divine Physician was one thing, but becoming a refining pharmacist was an entirely different matter.
