Recap: Chrona's reckless leap into the future is quickly interrupted when Kail tears through Time and Space to retrieve her daughters. Though she arrives furious, her anger softens as she reminds Chrona that the future is not a playground — it is fragile, dangerous, and not meant to be altered. Just as they prepare to return, Eve runs toward a mysterious boy whose energy feels eerily similar to Genesis's, forcing Kail and Chrona into a panic.
Meanwhile, back in the present Candy Cosmos, completely unaware of the chaos unfolding 2,032 years ahead, Genesis and Adam prepare for their final painting duel. Genesis summons a Holy Knight of Hope, while Adam creates a radiant Angelic Lion. When Adam questions why Genesis keeps creating "weak" beings without overwhelming abilities, Genesis chooses not to answer directly. Instead, he decides to give both creations Spirits, turning the duel into something meaningful rather than a mindless clash of power.
Adam constructs a battlefield in a separate dimension, Genesis crafts their story and purpose, and the two prepare to step inside their creation. But just before the battle begins, they realize something critical is missing — names. With Kail and Eve absent, Genesis's mind blanks completely, and the chapter ends with the duel ready to begin… but the lesson about strength still waiting to be revealed.
Setting: The Candy Cosmos
Genesis and Adam stand outside the swirling portal that leads to the battlefield dimension. The wormhole hums softly, space bending inward like a doorway waiting to be opened.
Genesis floats aimlessly in the air, arms crossed, staring into nothingness.
He's thinking.
Very hard.
Genesis (frustrated, dragging his words):
"Uhhhhhhhhh… I can't think of any namessssss…"
"Adam, having any luck?"
Adam is calmly flipping through his Book of Genesis, writing and crossing out names one after another.
Adam (deep in thought):
"Rex? …No, that doesn't sound right."
"Maybe Rock?"
Genesis slowly turns.
Genesis (sighing dramatically):
"Nope… no luck with him either."
"Ughhhhh, this is soooo laaaameeeee…"
Adam closes the book halfway.
Adam (tired expression):
"Father, why don't we just do the duel with no names like we did last time?"
"We can just call them what they are."
"A Holy Knight and an Angelic Lion."
Genesis instantly snaps upright.
Genesis (determined):
"Nooooooo."
"We have to give them namessss."
"We did it before!"
Adam blinks.
Adam (calm expression):
"No, we didn't."
"Mother was here during our first duel."
"She named them both."
Genesis freezes mid-float.
Genesis (sad but stubborn):
"Oh… yeah… you're right… she did…"
He crosses his arms again, refusing to give up.
Genesis (serious now):
"But this time is different."
"We have to give them names."
"Names are powerful."
"They matter."
"And I want to answer a question that I have."
Adam tilts his head slightly.
Adam (confused):
"What question are you trying to answer, Father?"
Genesis's expression shifts.
His eyes narrow slightly.
Genesis (serious):
"The question that I have is—"
He stops.
Silence.
The portal hum grows louder.
Adam stares at him.
Adam (confused, slightly concerned):
"Father?"
"What happened?"
"Did you sense something with Mother… Eve… or Chrona?"
Genesis looks even more confused.
Genesis:
"What?"
"No—wait… how?"
Adam straightens slightly.
Adam (more concerned):
"How what?"
Genesis blinks.
Genesis (genuinely confused):
"How did I forget my questionnnnnn?"
Adam exhales slowly.
Adam (sighing):
"That's what was happening?"
"I thought something bad was happening in the future."
He studies Genesis carefully.
Adam (calm, analytical):
"But how did you forget your question, Father?"
Genesis rubs his chin.
Genesis (confused):
"I don't know."
"It just… vanished."
Adam pauses.
Adam (thinking):
"And you forgot Mother already named our creations…"
He lifts his hand.
Adam (calm):
"Wait there, Father."
Golden light flares around him.
The Book of Genesis appears in his hand.
Adam writes carefully:
"The Ability of Analysis — allows me to scan a person to see what is wrong with them."
The words glow.
A soft pulse of magic spreads outward and scans Genesis.
Genesis suddenly wiggles mid-air.
Genesis (laughing):
"Heyyyyyyy— that tickles!"
Adam closes the book.
Adam (calm expression):
"Oh."
"That explains it."
Genesis leans forward.
Genesis:
"What?"
"What is it?"
Adam looks him dead in the eyes.
Adam (calm, serious):
"You have short-term memory loss."
Genesis (shocked, floating upright instantly):
"SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSSSSSSS?!
HOWWWWWWWWWW DO I HAVE THATTTTT?!"
Adam flips a page calmly in his glowing Book of Genesis.
Adam (calmly explaining):
"Hmmmmm… it says here—
The more you create, the more you begin to forget."
Genesis slowly stops moving.
Genesis (surprised, blinking):
"Wowwwww… I never noticed it before."
"So that's why I always feel like I'm forgetting something…"
Adam scans a little further.
Adam (calmly explaining):
"It also says you won't forget the things you hold dear."
"Like me. Mother. Eve. And Chrona."
Genesis freezes.
Then his expression softens completely.
Genesis (soft smile, warm tone):
"Oh, I wasn't worried about forgetting you guys."
"I could never."
"I wouldn't even know what I'd do without you guys."
Adam's eyes widen slightly.
Color creeps into his face.
Adam (blushing, looking away):
"…That means a lot, Father."
Genesis (soft smile, floating closer):
"Even though you came from my brain…
and took physical form with your own personality…"
He gently places his hand on Adam's shoulder.
Genesis (Soft Smile, warm, sincere):
"You're still my son."
Adam looks down, unable to meet Genesis's eyes.
Genesis notices immediately.
Genesis (concerned):
"What's wrong, Adam?"
Adam hesitates.
Adam (calm, unsure):
"Father… am I boring?"
Genesis blinks.
Genesis (confused, tilting his head):
"What makes you say that, Adam?"
Adam keeps his gaze lowered.
Adam (calmly explaining):
"I'm not energetic like Eve."
"I'm not strong like Mother."
"I'm not playful like Chrona."
"And I'm not passionate like you, Father."
He slowly closes his Book of Genesis.
Adam (honest, vulnerable):
"I'm quiet."
"I think too much."
"I don't get excited about things."
"I'm not imaginative at all."
There's a small pause.
Adam's voice softens.
Adam ( Honestly speaking):
"I don't know who I am… or what I'm supposed to be."
Genesis (softly speaking, floating around In the Candy cosmos):
"Adam… before I say anything… I want you to know something."
Genesis (gentle):
"It's completely normal to have questions like that about yourself."
He smiles faintly.
Genesis:
"I've asked myself those same kinds of questions."
Adam looks up slightly.
Genesis (thinking aloud):
"Am I loving Kail too much?"
"Does my love for her push her away?"
"Am I too energetic?"
"Do I create too much?"
"Am I… annoying to Kail?"
He scratches the back of his head awkwardly.
Genesis (soft laugh):
"I ask those things more than you think."
Adam (surprised):
"I'm surprised, Father… that you question yourself."
"You're so carefree. I never would've expected you to doubt anything."
Genesis smiles faintly.
Genesis (softly):
"Don't tell your mother…"
He leans in slightly.
Genesis (whispering):
"I've read her thoughts before."
Adam's eyes widen.
Genesis (gentle):
"She asks herself questions too."
Flashback — 2 Billion Years Ago
Kail stands alone, arms crossed, face slightly red.
Kail (flustered, thinking):
"Did I hit him too hard…? I didn't mean to…"
"Why can't I just be honest about my feelings toward him?"
"Why can't I love the same way Genesis loves me…?"
Her black aura flickers softly — not destructive.
Just uncertain.
Back to the Present
Adam (surprised):
"So… I'm really not the only one?"
He looks down again, quieter.
Adam (With a confused expression):
"But Father… I still don't know how to fix this."
Genesis Flys closer.
Genesis (soft smile):
"Adam… you don't fix those things."
Adam looks up.
Genesis(Soft tone):
"That's just who you are."
Genesis (calm, sincere):
"You're smarter than you give yourself credit for."
"You observe."
"You ask questions."
"You think before you act."
"You're quiet."
A small pause.
Genesis ( Softly speaking):
"You don't need to become the next Kail."
"You don't need to be the next Eve."
"And you don't need to be the next me."
He lightly taps Adam's forehead.
Genesis (smiling warmly):
"Be the next Adam."
"Nobody else."
Adam (confused, sadness in his voice):
"But how, Father?"
"I don't understand… how do I be the next me?"
Genesis kneels slightly so they're eye level again.
Genesis (softly smiling):
"By just living."
Adam blinks.
Genesis continues gently.
Genesis (Softly speaking):
"And I know you're going to ask, 'How do I live?'"
He Smiles.
Genesis (Softly Smiling)
"Have fun."
"Live."
"Learn."
"Grow."
"With your Mother."
"With your lover Eve."
"With your newly born sister Chrona."
"And with your clumsy father… meeeee."
Adam's eyes begin to water.
Genesis smiles warmly.
Genesis (Smiling):
"And we'll start by figuring out how my little short thing works. How does that sound?"
Adam's composure finally cracks.
Small tears roll down his face.
Adam (softly):
"Thank you, Father… so much."
He suddenly flies forward and hugs Genesis tightly.
Genesis (soft smile, returning the hug):
"No problem, Son."
Two Minutes Later
Genesis is floating mid-air, stretching dramatically.
Genesis (excited):
"Okkk Adam! I'm ready to see how this short thing workssss!"
Adam (calmly correcting him):
"It's short-term memory loss."
He opens his Book of Genesis.
Adam (analytical):
"My book says the larger the creation… the more recent memories you lose."
He closes the book gently.
Adam (calm expression):
"So create something small first, Father."
Genesis raises his hand.
White Yang Energy gathers in his palm.
With a small flash—
A bowl of mac and cheese appears.
Genesis grins proudly.
Adam (calmly):
"Alright. Answer this simple question."
"What condition makes you forget things?"
Genesis beams.
Genesis (excited):
"Oooooo! It's called short-term memory loss!"
Adam nods.
Adam (calm):
"Correct."
Genesis throws his arms up.
Genesis (excited):
"YEAAAAAAAAA I GOT IT RIGHTTTTT!"
Adam's expression grows more serious.
Adam (calmly speaking):
"Now create something big."
He pauses deliberately.
Adam (calmly speaking):
"And remember this question."
"Who created the names for our creations in our duel?"
Genesis nods confidently.
Genesis (excited):
"Okkkkkk!"
He raises both hands this time.
Yang energy erupts outward.
Space bends.
A massive sun forms in his palm—
then expands—
growing…
growing…
until it shines with the scale of a universe.
Reality trembles slightly.
Genesis turns back to Adam, ready to answer—
Genesis (frozen mid-sentence):
"Ummmmmm…"
Silence.
Genesis blinks.
Genesis (confused):
"…I forgot."
Adam suddenly pauses.
His eyes shift upward.
The sky of the Candy Cosmos begins to ripple.
Adam (calmly):
"Father… I would move out of the way if I were you."
Genesis tilts his head.
Genesis (confused):
"Why do you say that, Adam—"
Before he can finish-
Time violently distorts.
The sky tears open with a cracking sound.
A spiral of warped space explodes outward
And three figures come crashing down at full speed.
Kail.
Chrona.
Eve.
They slam directly into Genesis mid-air.
BOOOOOOM.
A cloud of candy-colored dust erupts.
Genesis tumbles across the ground, stars spinning around his head.
Genesis (trying to process):
"WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THATTTTTTTT?!"
Kail slowly lifts herself up, exhausted.
Kail (breathing heavily):
"You two… are NEVER going into the future EVERRRRRRR AGAINNNNN."
Chrona flops onto her back dramatically.
Chrona (exhausted):
"That just made me hate the future even moreeeee…"
Eve sits up quietly, a small sad look on her face.
Eve (softly):
"But that boy was so nice to me…"
Silence lingers.
Adam watches them all calmly.
The Candy Cosmos slowly stabilizes back together.
