The lecture hall slowly emptied as students gathered their things and left in small groups.
Owen had already gone ahead earlier, called by one of the professors.
Near the back row, three men remained.
Marcus leaned back in his chair, watching the door Owen had exited through. His expression changed the moment Owen was out of sight.
He scoffed. "There he goes again."
Darren followed his gaze. "Professor called him personally. Must be nice."
Julian crossed his arms. "He acts humble, but he knows exactly what he's doing."
Marcus let out a quiet laugh. "Top grades. Professors love him. Half the class always admires him now, huh?"
"He's been the talk of this university since he came here." Darren added, smirking faintly.
Julian clicked his tongue. "That pisses me off so much."
Marcus stood and picked up his bag. "Come on."
They left the classroom together and walked down the quieter side of the building, toward a stairwell rarely used during this hour.
