"You found them already…?"
Adam stood up in shock, his chair scraping against the floor and causing several heads to turn their way.
"Relax, darling." The Forger didn't even look up from his screen, grabbing Adam's wrist. "You're basically announcing we found something out."
"That's… sorry." Adam slowly lowered himself back into his seat, forcing his shoulders to relax.
"Hmnhmn." The Forger calmly sipped his matcha before sliding his chair closer to Adam. He angled the laptop so they could both see.
Around them, phones appeared. Subtle at first—a woman pretending to check messages while angling her camera toward their table. A teenager openly recording, whispering to his friend about Adam the Endless having a secret meeting.
There was another, an old woman, who was even snickering and giggling with her face slightly reddening.
Adam stared at the screen. It was just a white background with blue lines crisscrossing like veins. One pulsing blue dot near the center.
