Chapter 115 - Chapter 115: The Concept of a Magic-Driven Engine

Even Grindelwald had praised Kyle's high aptitude for combat.

Although Kyle had only studied with the two Great Demon Kings for a week, the growth he achieved was far greater than muddling through a whole semester at Hogwarts.

His casting speed and spell power were significantly stronger than they had been before he underwent the Demon King special training.

Although Cedric and the other two were two years above Kyle, and they outnumbered him, Kyle single-handedly suppressed the three of them during the spell duel.

Most of the spells they fired were intercepted by the shimmering barrier in front of Kyle.

The remaining few spells, after being rebounded, turned into counter-attacks Kyle used against them.

Since Kyle officially enrolled, the four of them had often gathered to tinker with dangerous magical experiments.

So, midway through the semester, all four had already mastered the defensive spell, Protego.

However, compared to Kyle and Fred, the other two were not as proficient with the Shield Charm.

Kyle picked it up quickly because of his high talent.

Fred, on the other hand, dealt with explosions every day, so he had unwittingly become incredibly skilled at using the Shield Charm.

Soon, Cedric and George were bruised and swollen under the storm-like bombardment of spells.

"Protego!" George yelled in exasperation.

The next second, his Shield Charm was blasted to smithereens by a Blasting Curse.

The second after that, a Stinging Hex accurately hit his face, and George's head instantly swelled to twice its size.

Seeing his twin brother's miserable state, Fred laughed loudly, but a moment later, he couldn't laugh anymore.

His Shield Charm was also declared broken, and a beam of light—magically modified from the Entrail-Expelling Curse—struck him somewhere below the abdomen.

Fred's face instantly turned the color of pig liver; he collapsed to the ground clutching his legs, curled up like a cooked shrimp, his mouth emitting only meaningless "ho-ho" sounds.

Chilling. Looking at Fred's miserable state, even Kyle, the caster, felt a phantom chill in his crotch.

This was the first time he had used it on a human after modifying the Entrail-Expelling Curse to affect other organs.

Fortunately, he had reduced the magical output. Fred would only feel a severe tug, and no organs would actually be ripped out of his body.

Seeing his two teammates fall one after another, Cedric wisely chose to raise his hand. "I surrender!"

George and Fred were both down; did he think he could be the exception?

For the sake of being fellow Hufflepuffs, Kyle didn't use the Entrail-Expelling Curse on Cedric, but instead sent him flying with a Disarming Charm.

After healing the three of them, Fred sidled up with a cheeky grin.

"Kyle, what was that magic you used just now?"

This guy didn't look at all like he had just suffered a critical strike to the crotch.

George also leaned in, obviously wanting to learn this spell too.

"I can teach you my modified Entrail-Expelling Curse, but the priority is to master the silent casting of Protego first."

There was no fun in blindly stomping noobs. Kyle waved his hand and told them to go practice on their own.

As for him, he took out a large stack of parchment and a bottle of alchemical magic ink from his ninja tool pouch and began researching how to leave spatial markings on the parchment.

Once he figured it out, he would wrap the parchment around the handle of a Flying Thunder God dagger, and then get a custom Hokage cloak from Madam Malkin's in Diagon Alley—then, he would be the "Yellow Flash of Hogwarts."

By evening, Mr. Weasley, who worked at the Ministry of Magic, got off work on time and returned home.

The four "Father-Worriers" were still practicing magic on "Mount Akina." They didn't realize it was nearly dinner time until Ron ran to the twin brothers' room to call them.

When Ron went down into Kyle's suitcase, he was once again severely shocked by the financial power of a certain tycoon.

Besides the shock, a thick scent of lemons wafted through the air.

Ron felt incredibly sour inside.

Why didn't he have money?

If he had money, would he still be in this wretched state?

Before dinner began, Mrs. Weasley moved the dining spot from the cramped kitchen in the Burrow to the garden outside.

It was spacious, certainly, but there were quite a few mosquitoes.

Kyle rummaged around in his ninja tool pouch and finally found a bottle of potion labeled "Six God" in some corner, spraying it into the air.

Now, there were no annoying mosquitoes.

It had to be said that eating under the clear, deep blue night sky was an incredibly wonderful enjoyment, especially since Mrs. Weasley's cooking was particularly delicious.

Mr. Weasley insisted on pulling Kyle to sit beside him.

This was because George and Fred had previously mentioned to their father, Arthur Weasley, that Kyle's "Bag End" contained many interesting Muggle items.

And Mr. Weasley's greatest hobby was researching Muggle artifacts.

At the dinner table, Mr. Weasley kept asking Kyle questions about Muggles.

As a wizard who had halfway barged into the magical world, Kyle had a considerable understanding of both the magical and Muggle worlds. He answered the various strange questions Mr. Weasley threw at him with ease.

"Electricity to Muggles is like magic power to wizards."

"Wizards can use magic to drive broomsticks forward; Muggles can also use electricity to drive cars."

A trace of lively electric arc danced at Kyle's fingertips.

"We can convert magic power into lightning. As long as we combine Muggle physics with our magic, we can create a magic-driven engine to power that small car of yours."

Listening to Kyle's explanation, Mr. Weasley nodded repeatedly, forming a plan in his heart for how to modify the car.

George, who had self-studied quite a bit of physics and mechanical engineering knowledge, chimed in from the side:

"Dad, I can help with the modification of that car too."

Fred raised his hand. "Me too."

One adult and three kids discussed the modification plan for the "Star Destroyer" at the dinner table; the atmosphere was quite enthusiastic.

However, none of the four noticed the look on Mrs. Weasley's face—she looked like she wanted to speak but stopped herself.

The magical world's attitude toward the use of Muggle items was very cautious.

To this end, the Ministry of Magic established a special office called the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office, responsible for handling matters where wizards cast spells on Muggle items.

The head of this office was Arthur Weasley.

However, out of his love for Muggle items, Arthur Weasley had specifically left a loophole for his own hobby when drafting the relevant laws and regulations.

If she weren't afraid of leaving a bad impression on Kyle, a member of the Dumbledore family, Mrs. Weasley would have already rolled up her sleeves and administered family discipline to the three little troublemakers.
