'His Parent.' Thalia was shocked at how he was ready to reveal his parentage. Thalia had learned about the problems that happened when Luke had spread the rumor that Silva was the child of one of the Big Three.
At the time, Silva had made an oath in the name of Styx that none of the three were his parent. It was shocking, as no one had ever used Styx as a lie detection test, but later he ignored any questions pertaining to the question of his parentage. Other than the fact that Silva knew who it was, there was nothing to go by.
Most didn't think much of it, as having your parent kept a secret could actually be really useful. Many wanted to know who their parent was, but they also didn't want others to know about it, as it was easy to find out a person's strengths and weaknesses according to their parent.
Children of Poseidon like Percy are strong near water but weak in places like mountains and volcanoes. Thalia, daughter of Zeus, is strong in high places and areas with high electric power. So fighting her underground filled with non-conductive materials would give a great advantage. And children of Demeter are strong near wildlife and weak near polluted areas.
This kind of knowledge was best kept from their enemies so that the demigods could survive for longer periods of time. Plus, there was the matter of enemies of different gods. Sometimes, the people who had a particular grudge against a demigod had no need to dirty their hands directly. Sending information to monsters or other gods who had a vendetta against the parent was more than enough to put a particular demigod in deep trouble.
For Silva to reveal this information was synonymous with revealing his weaknesses to Thalia. She was surprised that he was serious about getting even for the decision he had made for her all those years ago.
For a moment, Thalia was not sure whether or not to go with it. But in the end, her curiosity won over her consideration for Silva. So she nodded, as if signaling she wanted to know the answer. Silva then turned his head to the side.
"You can come out as well, Annabeth. It doesn't make any difference," Silva called out.
Thalia was shocked to find out that she was not alone with Silva right now. She too turned her head to the side to find Annabeth, who removed her cap to reveal a shocked expression.
"It's not… that I wanted to! Percy convinced me to do it," she immediately threw Percy under the bus to escape from this shameful situation.
"Well, I'm sure that he would have asked you to do it if he was there. You came on your own this time, right?" Silva asked while Annabeth turned her head away.
Silva wondered whether she was actually the daughter of the goddess of wisdom at the moment. And Annabeth suddenly felt that she was being regarded as slow-witted by Silva standing in front of her.
Silva then turned again.
"You can come out as well, Percy," he called, shocking the two girls again as Percy came out of a bush.
"Huh, knew that I couldn't hide from you," Percy said with a smile as he came out of the bush. Silva was his friend before he learned everything about gods, and from what he had learned from his mother, Silva had saved him and his mother from a monster all those years ago. So his relationship with Silva was fine.
Percy then turned to Annabeth with a judging stare that Annabeth tried her best to ignore by looking away. Seeing that Annabeth had kissed him on the cheek a few days ago after the chariot race, Silva felt like that judging stare was affecting her more than it usually should.
"Well, should I go?" Percy asked, and Annabeth looked like she wanted to follow him as well, as the conversation had taken a serious tone. She had only come at first to make sure everything was alright. And the fact about him knowing everything—Percy trusted Silva that he knew he would have done exactly as he had said. And Annabeth knew about the seriousness of prophecies and future visions. And with her logic, she knew Silva had made the right choice, even though it felt a bit distasteful in her mouth.
"No, we know enough about each other that it's not that much of a problem for me. Plus, your mum had made me some good food a few times I had visited you." He then turned towards Annabeth. "Plus, I can see that you were dissatisfied by the way I attacked Luke last summer, even though you kept it all inside."
"No, you made the right choice that time. I just never knew Luke would go against us by so much before. And from what I can remember, you had tried to calm Luke's image about the gods all these years, right?" Annabeth said, to which Silva nodded.
"Alright then, it's about time I revealed it." Silva began, and all of them were in rapt attention as he revealed it.
"Let's just not say the names and bring forth their attention." Silva said as he let out a deep breath. "I am the son of the huntress of the moon, the twin of the god of sun and prophecies. I'm the child of the one who has a group of immortal hunters serving her with silver bows and arrows."
All three of the ones who listened had their eyes widened as they comprehended what Silva had revealed.
Percy recovered quickly, as he had only been introduced to this side a year ago. He considered it similar to Athena and to be even rarer, and let it go.
But the other two, who had extensive knowledge about everything, knew the significance of this information. They knew there had never been a child of the moon goddess ever in the entirety of Greek history.
They also realized the upheaval that would happen if this was revealed.
""By the Styx!!"" they both cursed simultaneously.
