Yoruha thought for a moment. His sensory ability had indeed become incredibly powerful.
But he had already gotten used to it, and didn't really treat it as anything special.
"Fighting purely with sensory perception feels a bit strange," he murmured.
Although Yoruha's sensory ability was strong, he had never actually tried relying on it as his main way of fighting.
He usually only used it as a supplementary sense when activating Chidori.
After refining Chidori Sharp Spear and Chidori Senbon, however, Chidori was no longer his primary offensive technique.
After all, Chidori required close-range combat — its efficiency wasn't great, and it left him open to counterattacks.
Kakashi said, "Then train it. Your sensory ability is far too strong to go to waste."
Thinking about the possibility of facing the Mangekyō Sharingan or even the Rinnegan one day, Yoruha decided it was best to practice after all.
After all, the Sharingan was one of the most important bloodline limits in this world.
The Fourth Great Ninja War had been caused by just a few people who possessed the Sharingan, the Rinnegan, and even the Rinne Sharingan.
Since Yoruha didn't have a Sharingan, it was impossible for him to grow stronger through eye evolution.
The only path he could take was Naruto's — relying on immense chakra and mastery of ninjutsu to face whatever the future held.
Even though Yoruha didn't possess the power of the Sage of Six Paths, he believed that when the Fourth Great Ninja War came, he might not be any weaker than Naruto.
He had faith in his system's power.
Yoruha nodded and said, "I will, Kakashi-sensei. Please continue teaching me a few more elemental techniques."
Seeing that Yoruha took his words seriously, Kakashi was pleased.
That was one thing about Yoruha — he wasn't strange or impulsive like Naruto or Sasuke.
His personality was calm and normal; he never had any bizarre ideas.
The two trained by the lake for several hours, stopping only when night had fallen.
During those few hours, Kakashi's chakra was nearly exhausted.
He had to demonstrate some of the techniques for Yoruha himself, after all.
Yoruha, on the other hand, learned with astonishing speed. For every technique, Kakashi only had to explain the principle once — sometimes give a short demonstration — and Yoruha would immediately grasp it.
In just a few hours, Yoruha had already mastered over a dozen A-rank and B-rank elemental ninjutsu.
Fortunately, not every jutsu required a full demonstration; otherwise, even if Kakashi squeezed out every drop of chakra, he couldn't have provided enough to show more than ten large-scale techniques in one day.
By the time they were walking back, Kakashi's chakra reserves were nearly depleted — yet Yoruha didn't look the least bit tired.
Kakashi stared at him speechlessly. "Aren't you tired at all?"
Yoruha smiled. "Not really."
"You just performed over a dozen A and B-rank ninjutsu — that should've used up a ton of chakra, right?" Kakashi asked, curious.
Yoruha shook his head. "Not that much, actually. My chakra replenishes pretty quickly."
That was one of Yoruha's strengths — his chakra recovery speed was exceptionally fast.
That was because his chakra didn't come solely from within his own body.
He absorbed natural energy from the surrounding environment.
Although that energy wasn't infinite, providing chakra on the level of a Kage posed no real strain on the environment.
Keep in mind — after the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto drew upon enough natural energy to match Sasuke, who had absorbed chakra from eight tailed beasts.
Compared to that, Yoruha's consumption was nothing.
Besides, natural energy was constantly regenerating.
As long as the planet's energy wasn't completely depleted, nature would continue to produce more endlessly.
The reason Yoruha's chakra was currently only at the level of a Kage wasn't because he couldn't absorb more — it was because his body couldn't withstand any greater amount yet.
If he absorbed too much, his body wouldn't be able to endure it.
After all, Yoruha hadn't started out with a special physique; his body had only begun strengthening gradually after he obtained his system.
The fact that his chakra reserves were now comparable to Naruto's was already remarkable.
Moreover, since his chakra came from natural energy, he needed to use far less chakra for the same jutsu compared to ordinary ninjas.
Kakashi had no idea Yoruha possessed such an ability.
A bit surprised, he asked, "Your recovery is that fast?"
"Yeah," Yoruha replied casually. "Earlier, after using three Lightning Release techniques, my chakra was almost drained — but before long, it had already recovered."
Kakashi didn't quite believe it.
He activated his Sharingan and observed Yoruha — and found that his chakra reserves had already recovered to nearly eighty percent.
Kakashi's mouth twitched. "You just used more than ten large-scale techniques, yet it looks like your chakra barely dropped."
Yoruha chuckled. "I'm not sure either — it just recovers really fast."
Kakashi sighed, shaking his head. "Some people really are born to make others feel useless. Not only do you have more chakra than I do, you even recover faster."
"And to top it off, your jutsu pack more power than mine. Tell me — who's supposed to be the teacher here?"
Yoruha looked at him seriously and said, "If a student can't surpass their teacher in the end, what's the point of being a student?"
Kakashi blinked, then smiled softly at Yoruha's earnest expression.
"You're right. If my student can't surpass me, that would mean I've failed as a teacher."
"But you're probably the only one who could say something like that — it's not as if just anyone can surpass me."
That wasn't arrogance — it was simply fact. Kakashi was a genius. Had he not gone through that dark period in his life, his strength would have been far greater now.
Even then, the limit would still be Kage-level — but how many Kage-level shinobi existed in the entire world?
Forget Kage-level; even reaching elite jōnin was something most shinobi would never achieve in their lifetime.
For the vast majority, becoming a chūnin was the endpoint of their ninja career.
But Yoruha was different.
In Kakashi's eyes, Yoruha's talent already far surpassed his own.
All he lacked was real combat experience.
Once he gained that, Yoruha's strength would surely surpass his teacher's.
Kakashi felt nothing but pride and satisfaction at that thought.
Yoruha, of course, knew Kakashi wasn't speaking from arrogance. He nodded respectfully. "Of course. After all, Kakashi-sensei is incredibly strong."
"To reach your level — there are very few in the entire shinobi world who could."
A small bit of flattery, but sincere.
Though Kakashi usually didn't care about compliments, it felt nice coming from his own student.
"Let's go check on how Naruto and Sasuke's training is going," Kakashi suggested.
Yoruha smiled. "Those two have great potential. Both have enormous power hidden within them."
Kakashi nodded. "True. Although Sakura's chakra control is much better than theirs…"
"Her overall chakra reserves are limited. Naruto and Sasuke, on the other hand, both have immense chakra within them."
"As long as they can learn to control it, their strength will skyrocket."
Kakashi knew exactly how to guide the two of them.
Unfortunately, in the end, one would follow Jiraiya — and the other, Orochimaru.
