The field was hot, the sun taking main residence over the field. Colors roamed over the place, while I sat on a pavement, watching Hayden and Damien converse. Minutes had passed me by on that spot, and what was I thinking of?
I was thinking of how to approach Hayden with the proposal of going with him for the Halloween date. Should I just start casually, and tell him that since we were already King and Queen, then we shouldn't take different partners? Or that I was changing what I wanted him to do for me, and that instead of taking me fighting lessons till Halloween, he should come with me to the Halloween party instead.
But no. That would mark me as desperate. I didn't want to seem desperate when it came to Hayden. It ought not to be too obvious that he was getting to me slowly.
