Chapter 140 - “For all mankind?” Gu Yi asked, puzzled.

Not to mention using the Time Stone— even if one knows how to wield it, it is still extremely easy to become lost within the turbulence of time itself.

"Master Gu Yi, I didn't come here to ask for the Time Stone. I don't have that kind of nerve. Everything I'm doing is for the sake of all mankind. I hope you can understand my good intentions."

"For all mankind?" Gu Yi asked, puzzled.

Xu Dan explained, "Since Master Gu Yi understands that the Dark Dimension can affect our world, you should also understand how the virtual world can influence reality. Yes, I have developed a virtual world. I've already reached a cooperation agreement with Odin, the Lord of Asgard, and it has been put into pilot operation there. The results are extremely good!"

"Therefore, I want to apply this method to Earth. When that happens, everyone on Earth can become a hero. There will no longer be a need to rely on a specific individual for protection. People will be able to depend on their own strength, rather than placing their hopes on some uncertain existence."

"Unfortunately, I've encountered a problem…"

"That is, the physical constitution of humans is far inferior to that of Asgardians. Humans can't withstand that level of accelerated time flow. So I want to use the power of the Time Stone to isolate the time flow between the two worlds, ensuring they don't interfere with each other."

"In this way, humans would only bear a normal 1:1 time pressure, yet could gain three, five, or even ten times the real-world results in a single day…"

"With the entire population strengthened, the general trend would be unstoppable…"

"Of course, I'm well aware of how important the Time Stone is to the Sorcerer Supreme. I have no intention of monopolizing it. I only need you to relocate it slightly. You can assign people to guard it, inspect it at any time—security will be absolutely guaranteed."

...

As Xu Dan spoke, a vision of humanity's future gradually formed in Gu Yi's mind.

This was precisely what a righteous person desired.

She was not like those young Americans obsessed with individual heroism—so selfish that they only wanted to be heroes themselves and bask in praise. What she wished to protect was humanity and the Earth itself.

Slowly, she began to question her previous adherence to conformity.

All these years—why had she never thought of such a method?

"I'll agree to your proposal for now," Gu Yi said slowly. "As for the specifics, we'll decide after seeing the virtual world you mentioned. During this period, I'll have mages take turns standing guard."

"I think that's ojbk."

————————

After leaving Kamar-Taj, Xu Dan raised a hand and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"Damn… even I admire my own mouth."

The Time Stone was far too important to simply hand over to him. Naturally, Gu Yi wouldn't let him take it away freely.

But after he returned, Gu Yi would personally escort the Time Stone over.

For the Sorcerer Supreme, it was nothing more than drawing a circle with her hand.

Now, what Xu Dan needed to do was carve a slot into that cube server.

In RPG terms—punching a socket.

Except in games, sockets were for gems.

And he was about to socket an Infinity Stone.

When he returned, Xu Dan went straight to Brooklyn.

The cube server was housed with Banner, since he was the Chief Technology Officer and could deal with any problems immediately.

When Banner saw Xu Dan suddenly appear, he pushed up his glasses and walked over.

"Dude, yesterday there was an extra encrypted user logged into the server. Was that you?"

"Yes. I tried it out last night."

"So… does that mean the helmet technology worked?"

"Well, you two already showed me the path. I just went to find the right materials. By the way—where's old Pym?"

According to their original agreement, old Pym was supposed to improve the helmet, and in return Xu Dan would tell him his wife's location.

Did the old man suddenly decide he didn't want a wife anymore?

Banner quickly explained, "Ah—right, I almost forgot. Dr. Pym said he already knows the answer and asked me to thank you on his behalf."

"What answer?" Xu Dan paused. "Never mind, I'll ask him later…"

"His wife's whereabouts," Xu Dan added bluntly, making no effort to hide it. "Forget that for now. My CTO, I need to carve a slot into the server. What do you think?"

"A slot? My God, are you running a fever?" Banner pointed at the cube floating midair, radiating a dazzling rainbow glow. "Such a perfect server—and you want to carve a hole into it?"

"To embed an Infinity Stone," Xu Dan said calmly. "You should know about Infinity Stones. It's in the 'Global Top Secret Intelligence—S.H.I.E.L.D.' that the Red Queen gave you."

Banner frowned for two seconds, then his expression changed drastically.

"This… this is insane! Is it even feasible? The power of an Infinity Stone could instantly destroy our carefully constructed server!"

"It's completely feasible," Xu Dan replied confidently. "And we won't be pressing it in by hand. There will be professional metaphysical experts assisting."

Banner nodded thoughtfully, though unease still lingered in his heart.

This cube server was like the most beautiful child born from the union of himself and the Asgardians. What parent would want to chisel a groove into their child?

And to place a dangerous Infinity Stone inside, no less.

But with Xu Dan's assurance, no matter how worried he felt, he still had to do it.

"If the slot is made small enough… it might be possible."

With that, Banner walked over to his console, quickly issued an emergency maintenance notice to all players, and forcibly logged everyone off within one minute.

Then he picked up his tools and approached the beautiful cube server.

This was a perfectly precise cube—unlike a computer tower or casing, it had no shell.

It was completely exposed.

Carving a slot into something like this required extremely refined technique.

Fortunately, after spending so long immersed in the laboratory, Banner had become one of the most precise individuals in the world—more accurate than machines themselves.

"Good thing I refused to use Uru metal back then," Banner muttered with a hint of pride. "Otherwise, just carving this slot would require star-core-level energy."

With that, Banner began his work.

This was an incredibly delicate operation. Even Xu Dan unconsciously held his breath.

Watching Banner work bit by bit—don't be fooled by the small size of the slot. The effort required was no less than forging steel.

Before long, a fine sheen of sweat appeared on Banner's forehead.

Two hours later, the moment the work was completed, Banner collapsed straight to the ground, completely drained.

"Whew… good thing I avoided that critical point. Scared me to death," Banner panted heavily. "If it weren't for your black card, I'd probably have transformed by now. Never make me do this again!"

Hearing this, Xu Dan smiled awkwardly.

"Well… it looks like there are six sides, right?"
