Chapter 195 - Naruto's Answer and Warmth

Next, because the chakra wills of Kushina and Minato Namikaze only had a little time left, they spent this limited duration telling Naruto everything they needed to say.

It was a harmonious time for the whole family.

Lexon consciously avoided them during this moment, choosing not to disturb them.

He walked alone to Kurama's side in a dim corner, where the fox was playing video games, and joined him.

"Mom and Dad are gone, Lexon." Before long, Naruto's voice came from behind Lexon.

Lexon put down the controller and looked at Naruto, whose eyes were red and clearly showed he had been crying. He asked, "How are you feeling now?"

Kurama, who had been focused on the game, lowered the volume and twitched his fox ears slightly, intending to eavesdrop on the conversation between Lexon and Naruto.

"I'm very happy." Facing Lexon's question, a brilliant smile appeared on Naruto's face, and he spoke in a cheerful tone.

The incredibly depressed Naruto who had first entered the seal space was gone, replaced by a Naruto ready to face the world positively.

After meeting his parents, understanding many things, and talking with them...

He now understood the principle that things experienced cannot be redone, the departed cannot return, and he must face the future with positivity.

So now, while he felt sad thinking about the fact that the villagers of Konoha had passed away, he wouldn't stay sad forever.

"You've really grown... Not bad." Lexon smiled with a hint of gratification.

It had to be said that over the years, he had inevitably slipped into the role of being half a guardian to Naruto.

Therefore, seeing Naruto grow gave him a sense of 'achievement,' much like watching something he raised finally mature.

"Yeah!" Naruto nodded happily at the praise.

"Now that you understand everything, I have a question to ask you." Lexon's expression suddenly turned serious.

"What question, Lexon...?" Naruto's expression also turned serious.

"If... the people in the village could be resurrected... would you want them to come back to life?" Lexon inquired.

"The people in the village can be resurrected?" Naruto seemed very confused by this question.

"Don't think about whether it's possible or not..." Lexon said. "Just answer from your heart."

He then continued, "Do you want to see Sarutobi Hiruzen resurrected? The one who, for the sake of controlling you, deprived you of your right to know about your parents and hid their identities? Do you want those people who once treated you coldly, mocked you, and ignored you to be resurrected?"

His words were heavy.

Like a giant boulder, they fell into the heart of this twelve-year-old boy.

Naruto took Lexon's words very seriously; he would definitely give an honest answer to his good friend's inquiry.

Even if the question sounded completely absurd and illusory.

After a long silence, Naruto answered with a serious expression, "I do."

"Why?" Lexon asked again.

"Many people in the village are actually quite good... not that bad... Even Mr. Iruka, who used to dislike me, is very good to me now. Old Man Ichiraku's ramen has always been delicious, and some of my classmates at the Ninja Academy didn't treat me all that poorly...

"And the Third Hokage... I know some of the things he did made me feel bad, but he still inevitably did many good things for me.

"Like giving me pocket money... giving me a place to live... coming to see me... I know those actions might have had some underlying purpose... but they did, in fact, make me happy. So, if such a possibility exists, I would want the people in the village to be resurrected."

Every word and sentence came from Naruto's true heart.

Facing Lexon's serious questioning, Naruto gave the most innocent answer.

'As expected, it is exactly the kind of answer Naruto would give...'

After hearing Naruto's response, Lexon thought to himself.

"It's actually possible to bring the people in the village back to life," Lexon told Naruto.

"Really, Lexon!" Naruto said with some surprise.

"But there's a price."

"What price?" Naruto pressed.

"I might die."

"No!"

The moment Lexon finished, Naruto responded immediately.

His reaction was so swift it was completely unexpected.

A smile couldn't help but spread across Lexon's face.

"No! Absolutely not! Lexon, you absolutely cannot die!" Naruto approached Lexon and grabbed his sleeve, his expression tense as he spoke.

It was as if Lexon's death was something he simply could not accept.

Looking at his reaction, an inexplicable surge of warmth rose within Lexon's cold heart.

'This is quite a long-lost feeling.'

Lexon thought to himself.

He smiled and patted Naruto's head, saying, "Alright then, I won't die."

Only after hearing that answer did Naruto let go of Lexon's sleeve, as if he had breathed a sigh of relief.

"You will eventually have to adapt to my departure one day." Lexon stroked Naruto's soft blonde hair, his words carrying a deeper meaning.

"Then I'll make sure that day never comes!" Naruto said loudly.

'Silly child, that day is not far away.'

This thought flashed through Lexon's mind.

Indeed, not much time remained until the point in the plot for the Chunin Exams.

This also meant that Lexon's time staying in this world was drawing to a close.

"Let's head out first. That Sakura you like is still feeling sad..." Lexon then said to Naruto.

"Ah... uh..." An adolescent boy always seems flustered when such things are exposed.

Especially a child as pure as Naruto; his cheeks turned red with embarrassment.

As if panicking for a way out, he scrambled out of the seal space before Lexon.

"Hey... Uchiha brat!" Just as Lexon was about to leave, Kurama, who had been quietly playing games, spoke up.

"What is it, Kurama?" Lexon looked toward him.

"Even though you're a loathsome fellow... still... don't die."

"Are you worrying about me?" A playful look appeared on Lexon's face as he teased.

"Why would I care about you?! I'm just afraid that if you die, no one will update my games and anime!! Without those, I'd wish you'd died sooner!!" As if his sore spot had been poked, the tsundere giant fox responded in a loud and fierce tone.

"Haha." Lexon laughed a few times and smiled. "Don't worry, big fox. I won't die even if you do."

In the next instant, his figure vanished from the seal space.
