Chapter 189 - Konoha Is Truly Gone

"I didn't bring you brothers together just to have you argue." Lexon, standing beside Sasuke, suddenly spoke up, placing his palm on Sasuke's head.

The Power of Six Paths Yang, combined with a special healing energy, was transmitted through the touch.

Instantly, Sasuke felt as if a clear spring was pouring over him. A cool ripple washed through his heart, followed by waves of warmth. He calmed down unconsciously; even the bloodshot veins in his eyes gradually faded, and his Mangekyo Sharingan reverted to normal eyes.

"I..." Sasuke looked at his body, then at Lexon, unsure of what to say.

Should he thank him for calming him down? But if the facts were as Itachi Uchiha had said, then Uchiha Lexon was also his enemy. Was he supposed to thank an enemy who had murdered his clansmen? The young Sasuke felt completely at a loss.

"It's normal for children to be impulsive... not to mention your older brother was using his eyes to influence and provoke you," Lexon said gently.

Truthfully, Sasuke had not yet reached the level Lexon originally expected for revealing the truth about the Uchiha clan, but this outcome was still within Lexon's expectations. As for why Sasuke, who had also awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan, could be so easily influenced by his brother... it was simply because Sasuke was still far behind Itachi. It was only natural for him to be led by the nose.

"..." Itachi said nothing regarding Lexon exposing his hidden actions. Instead, the look he directed at Lexon became even more filled with doubt.

He understood Lexon's intentions even less. 'What exactly are you trying to do... Uchiha Lexon...' Thoughts surged in Itachi's mind.

"Itachi Uchiha... I will investigate your words. Just you wait, I'll come for you again next time!" Sasuke said flatly to Itachi after regaining his composure.

Itachi's explanation had been very clear: he had murdered his clan and family simply to become stronger. His only purpose in leaving Sasuke alive was to eventually take his developed Sharingan to ensure his own eyes stayed in the light forever. Having regained his reason, Sasuke knew he was currently no match for Itachi, so he left those parting words for their next meeting.

"Then Lexon... brother... if these things I heard from Itachi are the secrets of the Uchiha clan you mentioned, then this is the last time I will call you that," Sasuke said, looking at Lexon.

Faintly, a hint of expectation could be heard in his voice. Clearly, deep in his heart, he did not want what he heard from Itachi to be true. He wanted to hear something different from Lexon instead.

"I haven't heard that title in a long time." Lexon smiled and pressed his palm lightly onto Sasuke's head again, ruffling the hair of the boy he had watched grow up.

Sasuke didn't pull away or say anything. He just lowered his head slightly, letting his hair cover his eyes. 'If everything follows the set path, then this is the last time I will have a friendly interaction with him.' This was the thought of the youth named Sasuke Uchiha at that moment. The countless times they had spent together during his childhood were, after all, hard to forget.

"Stop acting, Itachi," Lexon suddenly said to Itachi Uchiha.

"Acting as what?" The greedy look in Itachi's eyes did not diminish.

"Konoha is gone, you know," Lexon continued.

He knew that Itachi's primary motivation for doing these things was to protect the village, so he directly dropped the news of Konoha's destruction.

Sure enough, upon hearing this, Itachi's expression froze. The greedy light in his eyes gradually dissipated, replaced by a deep frown. He asked, "What do you mean?"

"Exactly what I said," Lexon replied calmly.

He stopped ruffling Sasuke's hair and let go. Truth be told, compared to Naruto's head, Sasuke's was much easier to ruffle.

Lexon looked at Itachi, a faint smile reappearing on his face as he continued, "I'm not lying..."

"..." Itachi's frown deepened. He was momentarily speechless, not knowing what to say. Lexon's news was too explosive and contained too much information to be easily believed.

"It was done by those children in the opposing team earlier," Lexon explained.

"Are you serious?" Itachi confirmed.

"Mhm, I've already asked the person involved," Lexon replied. He had indeed confirmed it with Number Four.

Immediately after, Lexon continued, "So, there's no need to keep hiding things from your brother anymore, right?"

Beside them, Sasuke couldn't help but feel a flicker of hope in his heart. 'Could it be that what was said just now wasn't true either?'

"..." Itachi fell into a whirlpool of silence for what felt like the tenth time. After a long while, he finally spoke in a complex tone, "What exactly are you doing all this for?"

He desperately wanted to know... why did Lexon insist on having him tell his brother everything about the Uchiha clan? Why do this?

"Don't you think it's quite interesting?" Lexon asked back with a gentle smile.

'It's not interesting at all,' Itachi thought the moment Lexon finished speaking.

"Sigh..." Unable to do anything else, Itachi sighed and beckoned to Sasuke. "Sasuke, come here. I'll tell you."

He intended to confess everything. The news of Konoha's destruction was likely not a lie; such information would be easy to verify, and with Lexon's strength, there was no need to tell such a pointless lie... probably?

Seeing his brother—who just a moment ago had looked insane and ready to gouge out his eyes—now expressionlessly beckoning him, Sasuke hesitated. He looked at Itachi, then at Lexon.

"Go on," Lexon said, though he was a bit surprised Itachi was being so straightforward.

Sasuke summoned his courage and walked up to the brother he hated day and night. His whole body was tense and he was extremely wary, fearing that Itachi truly intended to crazily gouge out his eyes as he had claimed before.

"Sasuke... it's like this..."

Next, Itachi gave Sasuke a full explanation of the Uchiha clan's affairs. He spoke of the Uchiha's planned coup, how the Konoha high-ranking officials had anticipated it, the orders given to him, and the fact that their parents did not resist on the night of the massacre... everything.

He explained it clearly, leaving nothing out.

Standing not far away, Lexon naturally heard everything clearly. He had originally thought Itachi might still say something to guide his brother into not hating Konoha, but he didn't. He told the story exactly as it happened.

'Maybe it's because Konoha is already gone that he's like this...' Lexon thought.
