The Void-Piercing Punch
In the bushes, Lingxu Zi rubbed his messy hair, his face filled with confusion.
"What is my silly disciple doing? Why is she talking to the air?"
Ordinary people cannot see Zamarons in their cloaked state, but Kryptonians are an exception. With their X-ray vision, they could clearly see Villian's skeletal structure.
Invisibility is a joke to a Kryptonian.
Having agreed to the one-punch challenge, Linda crouched down, adopting a striking posture.
Energy, controlled by her will, turned into a drill, wildly coursing through her meridians, continuously destroying the internal blood and flesh tissue.
A crackling sound rose, like beans being fried. Her skin slowly turned red and became covered in blood vessels. In some places, it even burst open, exposing frostbite-like wounds. This was the result of forcibly opening the meridians. An ordinary person would have died instantly from ruptured organs, but Linda was different. Her body was extremely strong and possessed incredible healing capabilities; these injuries were nothing.
Under the nearly violent impact of the energy drill, her meridians slowly opened and became unobstructed. The girl was covered in blood.
Blood seeped from her skin, staining her entirely crimson, but Linda didn't care at all. Her eyes even showed a look of joy. She felt the miraculous change brought by the unobstructed meridians.
Before, the energy within her was like a stagnant lake trapped on land, with no source and no outlet. Now, the lake was connected to the sea; the water flowed freely, and so did her energy.
Her clenched right fist began to glow. Energy continuously converged into her right hand, increasing in density and changing in brightness. It started as milky white, slowly turned red, then deepened in red, and finally became an incandescent white. The light was scorching and dazzling, and the surrounding air began to boil.
Boom!
The ground shook. An invisible wave of force radiated outward from Linda's right fist. Wherever it passed, dirt flew up, flowers and grass snapped, and An'an and Beibei (the dogs) whimpered and retreated into their kennel, terrified.
Lingxu Zi was also stunned. Is my good disciple about to punch a hole through the sky?
An indescribable terrifying aura emanated from the girl. In this moment, she was no longer a person, but a massive ball of energy that was being compressed, contained, and liable to explode at any moment.
Villian had lived for nearly a century and had never witnessed such a horrifying sight. An organic life form was actually capable of releasing such a massive and concentrated amount of energy.
These Earthlings are too terrifying!
Earthlings are all monsters!
Villian swallowed hard. Without any hesitation, she turned and fled, transforming into a stream of light and speeding toward the northwest.
"Trying to run?"
"Where do you think you're going!"
Linda roared. She pushed off with her right foot—bang! The ground immediately caved in. Her right fist, brighter than the sun, slowly struck forward. In this instant, time seemed to stop, until a streak of light ripped through the world!
BOOM!
A hurricane-like shockwave radiated horizontally. Flowers, dirt, trees, bricks, the house, along with Lingxu Zi and An'an and Beibei who were watching nearby, were all sent flying. A massive crater, tens of meters wide, suddenly appeared in the backyard.
The white light started at Linda's right fist and slowly expanded, eventually becoming a colossal, fan-shaped pillar of light. Destructive power spread within the light pillar; everything was crushed into fine dust.
Pfft!
The left side of Villian's body vanished. Her flesh and bone rapidly disintegrated in the light pillar, eventually turning into imperceptible molecules. This spectacle happened right before her eyes, and she even clearly saw the changes occurring during the process. She stood rooted like a wooden post, the remaining right side of her face showing confusion, bewilderment, and deep incomprehension. Her body fluttered like a falling leaf and plummeted from mid-air.
The light pillar lasted for two seconds before slowly fading. Looking up, the night sky above Coast City was startlingly clear and bright—not a single cloud was visible.
The punch was so terrifying that it had actually cleared the clouds from the sky.
Lin Fu and the Elder Master rushed out of the villa, their mouths wide open, too shocked to speak.
The Elder Master raised his hand, trembling.
"She... she... she..."
Lin Fu swallowed hard, his voice unusually dry.
"Elder Brother, take my advice. Don't scold her anymore. People will die."
The Elder Master, having weathered many storms in life, quickly calmed down and said with determination,
"From today onward, little Linda is my dear granddaughter. I'm going to worship her like an ancestor."
Lin Fu: "..."
Lingxu Zi kicked An'an and Beibei, who were trying to burrow into his clothes, to the side. He dusted himself off and cautiously approached Linda.
"Good disciple, are... are you alright?"
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
The girl waved her hand casually, entirely unconcerned about the bloodstains on her body. Her eyes fixed on her right hand as she recalled the glory of that punch. She couldn't help but curl her lips, saying proudly,
"How was that punch? Was it cool?"
Lingxu Zi nodded rapidly like a pecking chick. "Cool! So cool! I've never seen anything so cool."
The clouds were blasted away—of course it was cool!
"That's what I thought, too."
Linda flipped her hair and chuckled. Chinese martial arts was quite interesting. It could actually mobilize the energy within the body. If she could open all her meridians and achieve what "Master" called moving with the mind and the unity of all things, let alone that traitor Kal-El, even Brainiac wouldn't be a match for her.
I, Kara Zor-El, am destined to be the best in the universe.
Having found a new life goal, Linda was in high spirits and decided to have a good meal.
And so, Luke, who had rushed home, witnessed this scene: three old men surrounding Linda, their faces grinning like chrysanthemums, offering her tea and water, vying for her favor. Luke felt a little jealous.
"You brat! You finally decided to come back! Aren't your wings too hard now? Why did you come back? Get out! Get out now! I don't want to see you!"
Seeing Luke, Changlin Shaw immediately remembered the gentle girl. What a good girl! She didn't complain even when wronged, instead calling him, the old man, to tell him not to be angry and to take care of his health.
Look at her, then look at this rotten kid. They are worlds apart.
Changlin Shaw got up to retrieve his leather whip from the inner room.
Sensing danger, Luke quickly ran over to Linda, who was eating dumplings, and asked urgently,
"What was that pillar of light?"
Linda chugged half a bottle of beer, then rubbed her flat, firm, smooth, and entirely un-bloated stomach. Only then did she say casually,
"A punk alien came looking for revenge on you just now. I punched her to death."
"Dead?"
Luke's heart leaped with joy. He quickly asked, "Are you sure?"
"Half her body is gone. Do you think she's dead?"
"Where is the body?"
"Northwest direction, about six or seven miles away."
Luke gave her a thumbs-up, an "Atta-girl" look, and quickly left the villa. He put on his Phantom Armor and sped off towards the northwest.
Changlin Shaw rushed out, brandishing his whip angrily.
"Where is that scoundrel? Where did he run off to?"
Linda cleared her throat. Changlin Shaw instantly plastered a smile on his face. "Little Linda, are you full? Do you want me to cook two more plates? I'm telling you, the most authentic kind of dumpling is pork and green onion. The fruit-filled ones are too sweet and stick to your teeth."
