A few more weeks have passed.
The Royal Academy has finally gone on break, which means the students can finally leave Loria for their respective homes.
If it were in the past, I would have rejoiced.
After all, I wrongly believed that these incidents were isolated to the Academy City.
However, now that I know that this is a kingdom-wide phenomenon, relief is the last thing on my mind. It's likely that a few of these students will even be abducted on their way home, which makes it even more worrisome.
I wish I could escort all of them to their residences, but the sheer scale of the departing students makes that prospect simply impossible.
It can't be helped.
What I can do is visit some of the sites of interest marked in the ledger that the Dark Guild gave me. Their investigative reports are interesting for a number of reasons, but the most important one has to do with the marked locations.
