"Teacher, please listen to my explanation!"
"Vincent, you've already explained it very clearly."
"Ah... But I didn't say anything just now, Teacher!"
After Vincent chased Felicia out of the changing room area, both doors of the changing room opened simultaneously. Gwen covered her flushed face, feeling deeply embarrassed, while Kara couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh as she walked out.
"Kara, that joke was a bit much, wasn't it?" Gwen asked, concerned.
"I believe Senior Vincent can handle it," Kara said cryptically. "If he can't even handle this, then he'll have a much harder time later on."
"What do you mean?" Gwen glanced at her curiously.
"Nothing." Kara shook her head, as if remembering something. "Oh, right, thank you." As she spoke, she handed a bag of clothes to Gwen. "This is for you, as a thank you gift."
"Wait! What are you thanking me for?" Gwen looked down at the so-called thank-you gift, a puzzled expression on her face.
Kara replied, "Thank you for giving me Saturday."
"No, no, I should be the one apologizing!" Gwen quickly waved her hand. "Originally, I didn't know Sunday was my birthday, so I made plans with Vincent for Saturday. Now I have to change your original appointment."
"But you could have occupied both weekend days, Senior's entire weekend," Kara chuckled, gesturing to her thank-you gift. "This is also like an early birthday present from me to you. Take it!"
"Alright then." Gwen hesitated for a moment, then took the gift bag Kara offered, saying sincerely, "Thank you."
"You're welcome. Don't back down because of this, though. We're rivals, after all." Kara's eyes sparkled, her face full of confidence and fighting spirit.
"Of course. I can yield on other things, but not this one. I have no intention of giving it to you."
Gwen responded with certainty... On the way home.
Vincent was dejected, with Gwen and Kara, who had already bought their clothes, walking beside him.
"Vincent, have you explained everything clearly?" Gwen asked softly, her cheeks still a little warm as she recalled the scene earlier.
"For now, barely, I guess I've explained it clearly," Vincent could only reply.
"Don't worry, Teacher Felicia is an adult, she'll definitely understand," Kara said confidently.
"Understand what? It's all because of you..."
Vincent turned back in annoyance and tapped Kara's smooth forehead with his finger.
"Ouch, Senior is bullying me!" Kara cried out, covering her forehead in pain.
Vincent scoffed, 'Yeah, right, I don't believe you. Kryptonians have a Body of Steel—'
Well, speaking of Body of Steel, it should actually be harder than the hardest metal in the World...
"We'll part ways here."
The three returning home arrived at a crossroads. Vincent walked towards a residential area straight ahead, Gwen walked towards the adjacent residential area to the side, and Kara entered an empty alley nearby.
A short while later.
A faint sonic boom echoed from high above the city, and a figure, as swift as a plane and as tiny as a bullet, sped away.
Vincent looked up at the broken clouds in the sky, suddenly recalling two days prior.
When Vincent and Mera's symbiotic composite—Blackened Mera—commanded Karasen to arrive at the Fisherman's Nation to intimidate, the undersea nobles repeatedly shouted "Messenger of God," as if wanting to summon a powerful entity to oppose them.
And then.
A girl in her usual Supergirl battle suit with a red cape, and a shark-like being with hands and feet, emerged...
Yes.
Supergirl Kara and King Shark Nanaue, who had accidentally trespassed into the undersea Fisherman's Nation that day, were regarded as divine messengers by the local kingdom due to Kara's punch causing a deep sea abyss and Nanaue's peculiar shark-like appearance.
In the end, Blackened Mera and Supergirl Kara had to put on a show to deceive the nobles of the Fisherman's Nation.
It was also then that Kara performed her so-called physical examination on him, including X-ray scans...
"I'm home!"
Vincent opened the door and habitually called out into the house.
Unexpectedly, a sweet and gentle reply came from inside: "Welcome home."
Vincent, standing at the doorway, paused for a moment, slightly stunned.
Following his gaze.
A tall and beautiful female figure walked towards him gracefully. The black-haired woman, with practiced ease, took out slippers from the shoe cabinet, then slightly crouched down, revealing her graceful and mature figure, her back from the nape of her neck to her lower hips once again forming a perfect curve. She gently placed the slippers on the doormat in front of him, and even this act of placing shoes seemed elegant and noble.
As always.
Nothing special.
What deeply moved Vincent was that ever since Aunt Diana got involved with the Justice League, she had basically been out early and returned late. A scene like this hadn't happened in a long time.
"I told you, I'm not a child anymore," Vincent said, a little dazed, as he handed his backpack to Aunt Diana and put on his shoes.
"Didn't you say it?" Diana blinked, her lips curving into a slight smile. "For you, a thousand times over."
Looking at the woman before him, Vincent's heart pounded. Or rather, who wouldn't be moved?
Diana gazed at Vincent and said softly, "You've been doing very well lately. Your studies, your extraordinary events, you've handled everything very appropriately—unlike me, who got busy with Justice League matters and neglected to take care of you."
"The more you say it, the more I feel like a child."
Vincent chuckled, then suddenly had an idea and casually said, "Is there a reward then? Or compensation? Even kids should get candy!"
"Of course."
Diana's lips parted slightly. "Whatever you want, I'll reward you."
"Anything...?" Vincent subconsciously looked at her perfectly curved, bright, soft lips.
Diana turned around and walked towards the main hall, her back to Vincent as she said, "As long as it's not... too much, anything is fine."
"Then."
His fists clenched tightly, Vincent looked at Aunt Diana's back. At this moment, he felt as if he was bound by the Lasso of Truth, and following his heart, he blurted out:
"Be my girlfriend!"
"..."
Diana's entire body stiffened, like a divine statue frozen in the main hall, without turning her head.
As expected, was he still too hasty?
Vincent sighed inwardly and quickly said, "One day... no, half a day is fine!"
Diana remained standing there, saying softly, "Why do you want to do that?"
Vincent thought for a moment and said, "I've never been in a relationship, but recently I've wanted to understand it better. Oh, right, this is practice, practice for dating."
"Is that so? Since it's practice, then there's no helping it." Diana seemed to be convincing herself. She reached up to smooth a few damp strands of hair from her face, still not turning around, and continued to speak with her back to Vincent: "Only half a day, the time..."
"Tomorrow, after school on Friday," Vincent quickly interjected, afraid that Aunt Diana might suddenly change her mind.
"Then that's settled."
Diana nodded calmly, but before she could take a step, Vincent spoke again from behind her: "Aunt Diana, could you advance me some pocket money? Five hundred should be enough."
"What for?" Diana asked out of natural curiosity.
"Tomorrow night, I'm taking my girlfriend out for dinner. It's our first date, I can't possibly let my girlfriend pay, can I?"
Vincent smiled as he walked past Diana, muttering to himself, "Honestly, I'm a little nervous. This is my first time actively asking a girl out on a date. Aunt Diana, do you have any good advice?"
"No."
Diana's lips curled into a subtle smile, and with a slightly stern face, she warned, "However, five hundred isn't enough to take a girl out. I'll give you ten thousand!"
She paused, then said, "Tomorrow night, do well."
