Chapter 154 - Chapter 154: Trident Artifact

Blackened Mera landed on a hidden island in the Hollow Earth.

It could be seen that many dinosaur creatures still thrived within the Hollow Earth; pterosaurs, which should have been fossils, soared freely in the sky.

As Blackened Mera stepped onto the beach, a female figure emerged from the island to greet her.

She wore tattered and old Atlantean noble battle armor, and on her back, she carried a bone bow made from small dinosaur bones and fishbone arrows. After she removed her somewhat frightening helmet, a weather-beaten yet still graceful and gentle face was revealed. From the contours of her eyebrows and features, it was clear that in her youth, she was likely no less beautiful than Mera.

Her figure, in particular, was maintained like that of a woman in her thirties, plump and mature, suggesting that the local food conditions in the Hollow Earth were quite good.

"Mera, is that you?" The other party exclaimed in surprise, as if unable to believe her eyes.

Mera's consciousness excitedly cried out, "It's the former Queen of Atlantis, Atlanna! She's still alive! She taught me when I was a child."

"It's me."

Vincent felt he shouldn't disrupt the atmosphere of this reunion, so he controlled Blackened Mera to speak.

"This is wonderful, I never imagined I'd see you again in my lifetime!" Atlanna rushed forward excitedly and tightly embraced Blackened Mera's body. However, after sniffing her nose, a peculiar glint flashed in her eyes.

Blackened Mera remained motionless, her body somewhat stiff as she allowed herself to be embraced.

"She's still alive, that's great," Mera's consciousness sighed with emotion.

"Don't forget, we just killed one of her sons. Regardless of the reason, that's an undeniable fact," Vincent's consciousness reminded her.

He felt uneasy, but if given another chance, he would still kill Orm.

Mera's consciousness also let out a mournful cry, unsure how to explain it to Atlanna.

"Atlanna, why are you here?" Blackened Mera asked.

Atlanna, still in the joy of reunion, said, "Twenty years ago, when Atlantis sacrificed me to the Trench, I fought my way through, just like you, and came here."

Blackened Mera was noncommittal about this; he hadn't fought his way through, but rather forced his way in.

"Atlanna," Blackened Mera got straight to the point, "Do you know where the Trident Artifact is?"

"Of course." Atlanna nodded and pointed towards the waterfall behind the island, "It's in the waterfall cave behind me."

"You specifically broke in here for the Trident Artifact?" She suddenly realized.

"That's right."

Blackened Mera didn't hide it from her, saying, "I want to become the Emperor of the sea!"

"You…" Atlanna stared blankly at Blackened Mera, frowning as she sighed, "That's very difficult, very difficult."

"No matter how difficult, I'll try," Blackened Mera said, then walked directly towards the waterfall cave entrance.

Atlanna looked at her retreating figure and advised, "Do you know? The Trident Artifact is guarded by the legendary sea monster—Karasen. I've tried for twenty years and couldn't get close to the Trident Artifact. Only someone with the potential of a monarch can obtain it!"

Blackened Mera's steps faltered. She turned back and said to Atlanna, "Atlanna. Your son Orm is dead, killed by me."

"Also, I am not the real Mera right now. If you want to hate, then hate me!"

After Blackened Mera finished speaking, she walked into the waterfall area without looking back, disappearing into the cave entrance.

Atlanna stood rooted to the spot, soon her face was streaked with tears.

Actually.

From the moment she got close to Blackened Mera, she had vaguely sensed that Blackened Mera's hands were stained with the blood of her son… Inside the waterfall cave.

Blackened Mera sank down into a quiet and vast deep-sea area, where ancient civilization ruins were scattered all over the seabed.

On a derelict stone throne atop an ancient ruin platform ahead, sat a male skeleton wearing a crown and armor. In its hand, it tightly clutched a trident weapon, as if made of gold, radiating a faint golden light and divine power in the seawater!

The trident weapon before him gave Vincent a sense of déjà vu.

That's right.

It was very similar to the artifact on his aunt, as if from the same place, or forged with similar metal and craftsmanship.

"Auntie?" Mera's consciousness noted the key point.

Blackened Mera moved, approaching the gleaming Trident Artifact… Hollow Earth.

Two figures, separated by only about ten seconds, emerged from the sea one after another, arriving on the primitive island!

Their facial features looked somewhat similar, but one had a clean face, while the other had a full beard.

Both arrived on the island, exchanging glances. Although it was their first time seeing each other, they instantly recognized each other's identities.

"Namo?" Aquaman Arthur raised an eyebrow.

"Arthur." Aquaman Namo frowned.

The twins met for the first time.

"Are you two, Arthur and Namo?" Atlanna exclaimed in a daze, looking at the two who had landed on the island.

"Mother."

Namo quickly stepped forward, then plopped down, kneeling on the ground and saying, "Orm, he…"

"I already know." Atlanna's face was filled with grief.

Arthur also knelt on the ground: "Mother, my father, he…" "What did you say?" Atlanna and Namo's expressions changed simultaneously upon hearing this.

It was a reunion, yet one bad news followed another.

Atlanna almost fainted. She looked at her two sons and said, "You two… must also be here for the Trident Artifact, right? The artifact is behind the waterfall cave. That entity who claimed not to be Mera just went in not long ago. If you also want to be king, then go try it!"

Arthur and Namo exchanged glances, then their sharp gazes collectively turned towards the waterfall cave.

Whoever gets the artifact will be the Emperor!

...Blackened Mera was about to approach the throne. Just as she reached out her hand towards the Trident Artifact, her palm was only three meters away from the scepter—

Gurgle!!

"You don't even have the legitimate bloodline of Atlantis, and you think you can obtain the Trident Artifact?" A hoarse, cold voice sounded from behind.

Blackened Mera turned to look, and behind her, at the end of the dark deep sea, snake-like tentacles the size of a Boeing fuselage extended. There were not just one, but five or six at a glance, approaching with the oppressive force of a giant creature!

"What are you?" Blackened Mera showed no fear.

"My name is Karasen. I have guarded this artifact for over a thousand years, killing countless thieves who sought to defile it!" The mysterious entity said hoarsely:

"Although you can understand my words, I still don't want to let you pass. You have… a very evil aura! And, you do not possess the potential to be a monarch!!"

"Is that so? In that case…"

Before Blackened Mera could finish speaking, her right hand, which had been extended forward, suddenly transformed into a dark claw and snatched forward, firmly grasping the Trident Artifact held in the hand of the emperor's skeleton ahead!

Success!!
