After I had kidnapped Kacchan, the heroes came and took him back. They tried to capture me, but Kurogiri got me out just in time. After, though, they told me I was going to go to school. They would soften the heroes a bit so they wouldn't put up too much resistance, and then I was to get Kacchan to fully lower his guard so they could take him.
And recruit him to our side.
The whole speech I had given him was half true, filled with white lies and the such. It was true he made me sane. And it was true I wanted nothing more than to be close to him. But I think sane is a relative term, meant to be used loosely. What fun is it if everything has such rigid rules?
To be honest, I do feel bad about the whole tricking and wiping memory thing, but it's ok.
I can still make him love me.
The day passed boring and slow, again, with the villains telling Kacchan his false past, and they thought seeing me would maybe make things complicated. I had to agree, which was frustrating.
I got bored and decided to climb the ceiling rafters again, my little secret cave of pillows hiding up there. I started writing in my notebooks about Erasure Head and Kacchan, some of the other students I saw too, when the villains came out of the spare room we put him in.
"That brat is so difficult. Are you sure I can't kill him, Kurogiri?" Shigiraki said, grabbing a drink from the bar and taking a long swig.
"You're so mean, Shiggy! I think he's kinda cute, if only Deku hadn't claimed him." Toga sat on the counter, twirling her knives.
"Why are we even doing this, again? It's clear Deku likes the kid, and the boss has plans for him, but uh... What exactly are those plans?" Twice sat in a stool next to Toga and grabbed a drink of his own.
"He wouldn't tell me, the jerk. All he said is we have to get the kid, get him on our side and wipe his memories, then make him fight for us. I'm pretty sure the boss just wants an expendable hero pawn to flaunt in their faces." Shigarki sighed, leaning back against the chair, which looked hard with all the hands. But I couldn't focus on that. They were using him expendably? To just flaunt and kill? It would have been a genius move to the heroes if it were anyone else, but Kacchan? Not Kacchan. This will not happen to Kacchan.
I will protect Kacchan.
I slink back into the shadows and walk in the rafters into Kacchan's room. He was still tied to the chair, processing the false information the others had fed him. Shigarki would throw a fit if he talked with him before they had prepared Kacchan, so watching him would suffice. They could talk all they wanted in other room about crap I didn't like, but here he could just watch the love of his life in peace.
Peace. What a strange feeling. I'm sure it'll pass soon.
