Chapter 95: Kind-hearted Ah Yin
Deceived by Qi Tian's well-intentioned lies, Ah Yin had completely placed her trust in him.
Qi Tian finally felt relieved and took out several pills from the phantom image of the Sea-Stabilizing Pearl.
"Ah Yin, these are antidote pills. After taking one, you'll be able to resist the poisonous miasma here."
He swallowed one himself as he explained.
The protective range of the Beautiful Silk Tulip was limited; he couldn't keep Ah Yin confined to such a small area forever.
"After taking this pill, your poison resistance will greatly increase. You'll be safe from most toxins."
He wasn't lying; the pills were refined from his own blood, which carried the dual ice-and-fire detoxification properties.
"Thank you… thank you for always thinking of me," Ah Yin said softly, deeply touched.
Everything Qi Tian did was for her sake; how could she not feel it?
"We're husband and wife; there's no need for thanks between us. I'm about to fall into a deep sleep again. I might not wake for several days. Be careful while I'm gone!"
Ah Yin suddenly understood. The reason she had been free for the past few days was that his soul had been too weak and had fallen into slumber.
"I understand. Sleep a few more days if you need to; it will save your strength!" Ah Yin said gently.
Qi Tian was very satisfied. When midnight came, his divided soul quietly withdrew and returned to his main body.
...
Another torrent of immense soul power surged into Qi Tian's true body; this was the transformed medicinal power of the Narcissus Jade Bone and Muscle.
Unfortunately, he had yet to absorb his fourth spirit ring, so the bottleneck remained unbroken. The soul power could only accumulate inside him.
However, after absorbing it, Qi Tian discovered that his skin had also transformed.
It was now smooth as ice and his bones white as jade, giving him an almost ethereal, celestial beauty.
Zhu Zhuqing noticed the change first. She found Qi Tian had become even more attractive, and his scent had grown more intoxicating.
Of course, she didn't know that both of them now carried soul power infused with the essence of Narcissus Jade.
After waking, Qi Tian didn't immediately tease Zhu Zhuqing.
They had trained their spirit skills for two days; it was time to hunt suitable spirit beasts.
Qi Tian's fourth spirit ring was simple; he could just go to the Blue Silver Forest and ask the Blue Silver King.
Or, if he found a suitable beast, he could sign a contract and nurture a spirit soul.
Zhu Zhuqing's third spirit ring was the problem, so Qi Tian planned to take her to Sunset Forest.
The next day, Qi Tian left Zhu Zhuqing to guard their home and went alone to the Blue Silver Forest.
"Blue Silver King, why the long face? Something bothering you?"
The Blue Silver King stared speechlessly at the human brazenly asking him for a spirit ring.
This human was beyond absurd, yet had the nerve to ask why he looked gloomy.
What kind of Soul Master directly asks a 75,000-year soul beast for a spirit ring? Wasn't he afraid of being devoured?
But for the sake of the Blue Silver Emperor, the king could only endure.
"This is just how my face is! I'm not frowning!" the Blue Silver King grumbled.
"However, finding a ten-thousand-year soul beast willing to become your ring is difficult. To absorb a ten-thousand-year ring, you must withstand the soul shock."
"Moreover, ten-thousand-year soul beasts are highly intelligent; they won't let you kill them so easily."
Though he ruled the Blue Silver Forest, he couldn't command other soul beasts' lives and deaths.
The beast he found for Qi Tian last time had been under ten thousand years and barely sentient.
"Blue Silver King, I've obtained a new type of contract that allows me to form bonds with soul beasts."
"After signing, the soul beast won't die; it will become my spirit soul and grow alongside me!"
"You can ask around; see if any ten-thousand-year soul beasts want to leave the forest and see the world with me?" Qi Tian proposed.
For plant-type soul beasts, leaving the forest was an impossible dream. Qi Tian believed some might be tempted.
"Such a contract exists? Are there restrictions?" the Blue Silver King asked, astonished.
Qi Tian admitted honestly, "It's a master-servant contract. The contracted soul must obey my commands."
The Blue Silver King found it novel and even felt a faint urge to see the outside world, perhaps even to search for the long-lost Blue Silver Emperor.
But the thought of becoming Qi Tian's servant and losing freedom quickly killed the idea.
"Go back and wait. I'll ask around and see if any ten-thousand-year soul beasts are willing," the king finally said.
Qi Tian sighed in relief, thinking how reliable the Blue Silver King truly was.
"Just because it once looked after me, I absolutely have to save Ah Yin!" he resolved silently.
Night fell.
Qi Tian possessed Ah Yin's body once more.
Only one day had passed for him, but several days had passed for Ah Yin; time flowed differently between the timelines.
Deep in the night, Ah Yin was not asleep. She was somewhere in Sunset Forest.
Qi Tian quickly switched to passive possession, existing within her without taking control.
"You're awake?" Ah Yin asked in surprise.
"Ah Yin, why are you out here? Why aren't you cultivating inside the Yin-Yang Ice and Fire Eye?" Qi Tian asked.
"Have you forgotten? I haven't reached maturity yet. I need contact with humans to increase my cultivation."
Qi Tian felt a little embarrassed; he had overlooked that detail.
If Ah Yin were still a soul beast, the Yin-Yang Ice and Fire Eye would be perfect. But right now, she was a nascent-stage transformed beast.
"Then why not go to the human cities?" he asked.
Ah Yin glanced to the side. Only then did Qi Tian notice a human girl hiding in a nearby cave.
"I remember you said I should stay at an advanced Soul Master Academy and teach students, but I'm afraid of meeting human Soul Douluo."
"So I thought I'd take a few disciples and cultivate with them here instead."
Qi Tian instantly understood. "So you want to accept that girl as your disciple?"
Ah Yin nodded. "Yes. I observed her all day. She's very brave; she actually came alone to Sunset Forest to hunt a spirit ring!"
"Most importantly, her spirit is a mutated Blue Silver Grass. I can guide her cultivation!"
"It's good to have company. If possible, take a few more disciples and cultivate together inside the Yin-Yang Ice and Fire Eye," Qi Tian suggested.
Training there was far safer than wandering outside. The poisonous miasma formed a natural barrier.
At worst, he'd just bleed a little more to make extra antidote pills.
"Okay, I'll listen to you!" Ah Yin smiled, then walked toward the girl.
Qi Tian noticed the girl was beautiful, yet only level ten, daring to enter Sunset Forest alone for her first spirit ring.
Had she not met Ah Yin by sheer luck, she would almost certainly have died here.
The girl was extremely vigilant. The moment Ah Yin approached, she woke and watched warily.
"Don't be afraid. I'm a Soul Master too. You can trust me!"
As she spoke, Ah Yin released her Blue Silver Emperor spirit.
The girl stared at the golden-patterned, majestic Blue Silver Grass in Ah Yin's hand. Her own spirit was involuntarily drawn out in resonance.
"See? Our spirits are both Blue Silver Grass!"
