More than a hundred sharp rocks were shot at Kai by the Viper. It realized that Kai wasn't a simple target and opponent; it thought of using anything that was useful to kill him.
It left Kai on the ground while it went to its hideout, as it saw that he had nowhere else to go, so it had a lot for dinner. That's why it went and rested while it meditated on its wounds.
