The sand surrounding the black gate tumbled.

The next moment, though, the trembling ceased. The creature on the other side had succeeded.
As soon as they appeared, Liora's eyes shrank. On the other hand, the eyes of everyone else in the room, including the almost dead True Devil, flashed with undisguised excitement.
They believed that they had survived! With that person's appearance, no danger would ever befall them!
Or at the very least, these were their thoughts for a brief moment.
