I want to act nonchalant.
I want to act like I don't care but the hunger I feel is too much to ignore and the toast looks so appetizing.
Wolfing down the meal so that my captor wouldn't see me eat his food.
Pride.
I choke on a piece of toast when the door opens and Chan peeks in.
"I brought some clothes, they are…new" he says, holding them up and examining them himself like he's unsure.
Still coughing, I gulp down the warm milk in my cup.
"Are you okay?" he asks with round eyes when he finally realizes that I had been partially dying when he entered the room.
A born alpha? Who is this goof kidding?
'He commanded us, shut you down with a few words' my omega whispers and my back straightens.
This is the first time he's speaking since Jaehyun walked past us.
"Would you like more?" Chan asks and gestures to the tray.
I want to say yes, but…pride.
"I'll ask a maid to pick it up, when would you like to leave for the hospital?" he asks.
