The ticking of the grandfather clock above my head irritates me.
I want to punch it off the wall for the satisfaction of seeing it break into pieces.
Each tick is a mockery of what was within my arms for one night and then disappeared again.
Day two.
I'm going crazy.
There is still no sign of my Yujun, still no returned calls, still no news of war from the Chois.
Nothing at all.
I am still seething with rage from the invasion of my territory, and my rut is drawing even closer.
Everything I look at has a tint of red over it, making it a target for me to rip apart since my alpha is on edge.
This small room smells strongly of me, me but different it smells of burning patchouli and pure anger.
