Chapter 168 - Chapter 168

Momoshiki had begun to fight with everything he had—his consciousness fully fused into the Shinju Star Ark.

After swallowing every last chakra pill, he wasn't just healing. He was elevating his own existence—pushing himself into an entirely new dimension.

His humanoid form was gone.

He had become a bizarre entity that fed on planets.

The "shape" lower lifeforms relied on was, to him, nothing more than a shackle.

Now, he felt he had become a true god—stronger than he had ever been.

And if he wanted to return to his peak… no, surpass it…

He needed to refine a super chakra pill.

The price was this planet—and all life upon it.

At the God Court headquarters, shrill alarms blared again, even harsher and more urgent than before.

"Emergency! An over-spec gravitational source detected!"

"Earth's natural energy is being forcibly extracted!"

"Life signals are dropping rapidly! Repeat—life signals in all regions are dropping!"

Their technology and countermeasures, faced with a planet-devourer, might not even count as dust.

Some people collapsed in their seats.

Others hammered at their consoles in a frenzy, trying to find a solution.

But more of them simply stared blankly at the main screen, at a loss.

There was little they could do now—only pray their commander-in-chief could turn the tide.

On the ground, ordinary people felt something was wrong, but they couldn't stop it.

They could only watch helplessly as it happened.

A mother playing with her child in a park suddenly felt dizzy—thinking she was sick—only to see the color draining rapidly from her child's smiling face.

Shinobi in training panicked as they discovered the chakra inside their bodies was leaking away, flowing toward some unknown point in the sky.

Shinobi chakra—and even the life energy within ordinary people—was being dragged out by an irresistible force.

People fell to the ground, faces full of helplessness, staring up at the sky.

They didn't even know what was happening anymore.

And it didn't matter.

Then, suddenly, a voice detonated inside everyone's mind.

"Disappear."

Just three words—and countless minds collapsed on the spot.

"You miserable insects! Living is your sin!"

"Your existence, your civilization—everything—will become the food that carries me to a higher throne of godhood!"

"Feel true despair!"

With that final proclamation, the sky went completely dark.

Shinju hovered in outer space.

He could "hear" it clearly—the final wails of billions of living beings as they vanished into despair.

The golden energy giant held its long blade, radiating power capable of cleaving stars.

Yet the giant that had once been able to split mountain ranges and sever seas now seemed unbearably fragile.

Fine cracks were spreading across the Susanoo's energy armor.

That devouring gravitational force was acting on it as well, madly tearing at Shinju's Sage chakra.

The Susanoo was being "deconstructed."

He had to output more than ten times his usual chakra just to barely maintain the form.

Shinju saw the core.

A presence that was feeding on a planet.

Momoshiki had turned himself into a disaster.

His gaping maw was a black hole leading to the end.

Any matter that drew close would be broken down and devoured, becoming fuel for his evolution.

Momoshiki launched his final attack.

If he couldn't take Shinju's power…

Then he would destroy everything.

This was a doomsday move of mutual annihilation.

He meant to erase the entire Earth—along with Shinju.

The black-hole maw began pressing down toward the planet.

Earth's gravity field warped. The atmosphere tore. The crustal plates began to fracture and collapse.

There was no fear on Shinju's face.

His eyes were calm, reflecting the entire apocalypse bearing down on him.

Normal combat had lost all meaning.

Ninjutsu, senjutsu, taijutsu—every force he commanded—became useless before an enemy wielding "rules" as a weapon.

You couldn't smash a concept with your fist.

And you couldn't sever a phenomenon with a blade.

The massive Senpo: Susanoo (Sage Art: Susanoo) suddenly dispersed.

The golden giant hadn't been struck—Shinju abandoned the form on his own, letting it dissolve in the void of space.

That made Momoshiki's consciousness ripple.

He had expected a final, desperate counterattack.

Instead, his enemy had released his resistance entirely.

"Have you given up, insect? A wise choice. Before absolute power, any struggle is disrespect toward a god."

That cold mental voice echoed again.

Shinju's body was left exposed to lethal cosmic radiation and the terrifying gravitational field.

He floated alone in darkness—

So small, like a single speck of starlight—

Facing a darkness that could swallow everything.

Shinju closed his eyes.

He didn't answer Momoshiki's mockery.

Words had already lost their meaning.

What came next would be the final collision of will and existence.

His consciousness pierced the walls of reality, ignoring the apocalyptic scene unfolding outside.

His mind sank into the system's deepest source.

The Hall of Heroes should have revealed its final form within his sea of consciousness.

Beyond those already resurrected, everything so far had been only a drop in the ocean.

Far more presences remained dormant—yet now, they were beginning to stir.

Countless lights shimmered within, each one representing a powerful soul that had once perished.

Shinju's awareness moved through that sea of stars, until it reached a pure-white space.

This was the system's core.

The origin of his power.

He knew what he had to do next.

This was a move he had never truly believed he would use.

The price was too great.

The consequences were unknown.

To use it meant he would no longer be himself.

His consciousness would undergo the highest-level fusion with every soul within the Hall of Heroes.

If he succeeded, he would gain power beyond mortal comprehension.

If he failed, his soul would be annihilated by the shock of countless overwhelming wills—leaving him without even the chance to reincarnate.

But now…

There was no other choice.

To end this endless war—

"Lend it to me…" his will echoed through the pure-white space.

"Lend me all of your unwillingness, all of your glory, all of your power!"

The final trump card had to be played.

Outside, the planet-devourer Momoshiki had already made contact with Earth's atmosphere.

Violent friction ignited a sea of fire that covered half the planet.

The sight of doomsday drew the last wails from the survivors below.

And then—

The Shinju, eyes still closed, began to glow.

His body started to turn transparent.

His presence was being erased from the universe itself.

Momoshiki's consciousness sensed the change instantly.

It was as if Shinju were being "wiped" from the material world—standing right there, yet no longer existing in any dimension.

This all-or-nothing battle…

Was far from over.
