Inside the moon, the Otsutsuki palace was rebuilt into the Divine Court: Lunar Surface Base.
Tobirama, Orochimaru, and Nagato—three top-tier scientists—officially moved into the lunar base.
They began reverse-engineering and researching the Otsutsuki clan's technological legacy, especially the massive Tenseigan.
Orochimaru's tongue slid over his dry lips.
Inside that sphere, what flowed wasn't just energy—there were countless lingering wills, countless individual spiritual imprints.
They had been collected, stored, and used as the most basic building material to construct this enormous energy aggregate.
Immortality.
The immortality he had pursued… had found its most perfect interpretation here.
The flesh could rot, but the soul and will could exist forever as a form of energy.
The Otsutsuki clan had actually already reached this stage.
Compared to this technology, his Living Corpse Reincarnation was crude and primitive.
Nagato remained silent.
A resonance from deep within his bloodline echoed in his mind.
He saw it.
Through the Rinnegan, he saw the deepest structure of the Tenseigan.
A core stacked from countless Byakugan—linked in countless subtle ways to his Rinnegan and the Gedo Mazo (Outer Path Demon Statue).
They were powers of the same origin.
One was the pinnacle of creation.
One was the apex of destruction.
He had always believed the Rinnegan was the end point of dojutsu, the greatest masterpiece left behind by the Sage of Six Paths.
Now he understood the Rinnegan was only one key.
And this Tenseigan… was another door.
A gate leading to an even higher level of power.
Toneri stood off to the side, watching these three "inferior creatures."
His face carried the arrogance of the Otsutsuki clan.
These people—these mortals from the shinobi planet—couldn't possibly understand the greatness of the Tenseigan.
This was a crystallization formed from countless Byakugan, forged over a thousand years by his clan.
A power only gods could control.
And then—
Three data panels appeared in midair before the trio.
A flood of knowledge, like a ruptured dam, surged straight into their minds.
"Foundational Theory of Energy Matrices."
"Applied Models of Spatial Folding."
Tobirama's body swayed violently. He grabbed the nearby console to keep from collapsing.
With the authority Shinju had granted him, he forcibly comprehended the knowledge.
He looked again at the massive Tenseigan.
This time, what he saw was completely different.
The complex energy currents became calculable matrices.
The pulses of space gained measurable parameters.
Everything became clear.
"So that's it… so that's how it works…" Tobirama murmured, his eyes turning feverish.
He rushed to an analysis device that hadn't even been fully activated yet, hands flying as he input countless commands he'd only just learned.
Orochimaru's expression froze.
Souls could be digitized. Genes could be encoded.
Life was no longer a mysterious phenomenon, but a string of code that could be read, modified, and copied.
Everything he had dreamed of—its answer was right in front of him.
He wouldn't even need to do those filthy human experiments anymore. No need to desecrate corpses.
If he mastered this technology, he could create life like a god… define life like a god.
"Heh… heh heh heh…" A low laugh slipped out, filled with morbid joy.
His body turned into countless white snakes that swept up instruments and materials. A brand-new lab rapidly assembled behind him.
The knowledge Nagato received was the ultimate application of gravity and repulsion.
Shinra Tensei and Bansho Ten'in were merely the shallowest expressions of that force.
True power could bend light, tear space, and even create or destroy a celestial body.
The powers of the Rinnegan and the Tenseigan could complement each other.
One controlled gravity.
One provided nearly infinite energy.
Combine them, and it became creation and annihilation.
Nagato clenched his fist tightly. Yahiko and Konan's faces flashed through his mind.
If he'd had this power back then…
No.
It wasn't too late now.
He turned and walked toward the base's energy core, directly linked to the Tenseigan.
Toneri was stunned.
These three…
What were these three mortals doing?!
How dared they operate Otsutsuki equipment? Those were the tools of gods!
They were insane.
They would destroy everything here! They would trigger an energy runaway and turn the entire moon to dust!
But the explosion he expected never came.
Everything proceeded in perfect order.
On Tobirama's analysis console, the Tenseigan's energy structure was peeled apart layer by layer and displayed clearly on-screen.
On Orochimaru's production line, the first modified puppet stepped down—its movements no longer stiff, intelligence glittering in its eyes.
Behind Nagato, the Tenseigan's energy was tamed, like a gentle stream flowing into the circuits he constructed.
In only a few days—
The secret the Otsutsuki had guarded for a thousand years was completely cracked by these three mortals.
Toneri's worldview, his faith, his pride as an Otsutsuki… was smashed to pieces in that instant.
He collapsed to the ground, staring at the three figures consumed by research frenzy.
Just what kind of existence was Shinju… that lord?
At that moment, a vast voice echoed throughout the base, resounding in everyone's minds.
"The Tenseigan is not merely a weapon. It is a colossal energy source, a spatial beacon, and even a supercomputer capable of interfering with causality…"
It was Shinju's voice.
Tobirama, Orochimaru, and Nagato stopped their work and listened.
"Tobirama, Orochimaru, Nagato—I need you to fully master its power in the shortest time possible."
"Our enemies won't give us much time."
The voice vanished.
A hotter flame burned in all three pairs of eyes.
No extra words. No hesitation.
They immediately dove into even crazier research.
On the moon, time lost all meaning.
Half a month later—
Tobirama stood at the center of the testing grounds.
"Spatial Distortion Shield, activate."
He pressed a button.
An invisible barrier expanded instantly, enveloping the entire testing field.
He used the Flying Thunder God Technique on the barrier.
The formula mark lit up, yet his body didn't move an inch.
Space had been locked.
The connection between him and the mark was forcibly severed.
He nodded.
With this, the Otsutsuki clan's proud space-time ninjutsu would no longer be a threat.
In another laboratory—
Orochimaru looked at the neatly lined army before him.
They were snow-white humanoid mecha, three meters tall, sleek and flowing, radiating a cold sense of slaughter.
In each eye socket was embedded a pure-white eyeball.
"Byakugan Mecha Legion—target locked. Full salvo."
The command was issued.
Hundreds of mecha eyes lit up at once. Energy beams pierced every moving target on the range with pinpoint precision.
Orochimaru smiled.
These mecha had the Byakugan's 360-degree insight, the tireless bodies of puppets, and were equipped with miniaturized Truth-Seeking Ball energy cannons.
They were walking weapons of the human world.
If these had existed decades earlier, the era of shinobi wars would've ended long ago.
Even better—they could be mass-produced.
In the deepest part of the base—
A massive cannon platform rose from the moon's surface, its muzzle aimed into the black universe.
Nagato stood at the control core. The Rinnegan and the Tenseigan's core energy circuits were fully synchronized.
"Deva Path: Repulsion Rail Cannon—charging complete."
"Target: the moon's far side, abandoned meteor belt."
"Fire."
A few seconds later, the distant surveillance feed finally arrived.
The meteor belt was reduced to dust under the beam's penetration.
Under Shinju's push—and with the efforts of those three—the technological level of the shinobi alliance advanced at breakneck speed.
On Earth, individual combat power was also about to be driven toward a brand-new peak.
Madara's hellish training came to its final test.
