Chapter 75 - Chapter 74: Emma Appears and Takes Leo Away?

Everyone noticed the store manager's change in attitude.

A person capable of managing a high-end boutique wasn't blind — she could instantly tell who had real money and who was just pretending.

Within moments, several store assistants began providing attentive service.

Under their eager care, Jean Grey tried on one outfit after another. Naturally, a beautiful woman looked stunning in anything she wore.

Jean soon became overwhelmed.

Faced with dozens of dresses, puff skirts, and casual outfits, she couldn't make up her mind.

"Jean, can't decide which one to choose?" Wanda asked softly, noticing her dilemma.

"Yes, it's too difficult…" Jean frowned, a little frustrated.

"In that case," Wanda said with a grin, "let's make it easy."

Jean blinked. "Huh? How?"

Then Wanda waved her hand casually.

"Wrap them all up. I'll buy everything she tried on."

Jean froze. Everyone froze.

The store assistants were dumbfounded. Buying all the clothes she tried? Who does that?!

Damn it—she really showed off!

We'd all love to do that too, but our wallets won't allow it!

After Wanda's luxurious swipe of the card, she dragged Jean to buy a pile of dolls and gifts and had them all sent home.

Then began the real shopping trip — hopping from store to store, grabbing clothes and shoes for Leo (though most of it was clearly for themselves).

Women never get tired of shopping — they're perpetual motion machines.

They shop, eat, shop again, eat again, and every so often, for no reason at all, they just go "woo-woo-woo" for attention.

"Lali, are you seriously buying this pajama set? We have plenty at home we haven't even worn yet," Wanda sighed.

Unknowingly, they had wandered into a pajama boutique. No. 18 immediately dove into the racks, examining everything like a pro.

"Tch. Wanda, do you think we have enough? That bastard Master tears a few every day — and he forbids us from taking them off!"

"He always pushes in with his pants still on! No matter how many we have, it's never enough for him to destroy!"

Wanda blushed hard. "Don't you like it that way? I think you're the real culprit for enabling his crazy habits!"

No. 18 smirked and leaned close to whisper, not realizing that Jean Grey heard everything crystal clear.

Oh my god! Jean thought, her mind spinning. They actually do things like that? Together? This is the world of adults? How terrifying!

She already knew they were playful, but she didn't expect them to be this wild.

Meanwhile, under No. 18's teasing, Wanda couldn't resist the urge bubbling inside.

Soon the two of them were gleefully picking out outfits — tiny, lacy, see-through numbers with barely any fabric, like something out of a fantasy.

A slight pull and they'd rip apart. A gentle tug and they'd fall off completely.

Jean's face turned crimson just watching.

These two were completely beyond saving.

Half an hour later, they were done — dozens of pieces bought. The shop owner was convinced they were buying gifts for someone else.

"Let's go. Today's mission to dress Jean was a complete success!" Wanda declared proudly.

"Exactly! Shopping therapy works wonders," No. 18 replied, nodding with satisfaction.

Jean covered her forehead helplessly. How do they even justify this? And yet… their logic is flawless.

Carrying their mountain of shopping bags, the trio made their way toward Dream Street — the heart of New York's bustling Fifth Avenue.

As the evening crowd thickened, office workers, tourists, and locals filled the streets.

And then — chaos.

A violent tornado suddenly erupted in the middle of downtown.

Screams filled the air as people scattered like frightened birds.

"Help! Someone help!"

"Oh my god! A tornado in downtown?!"

"There was no weather forecast for this!"

"This isn't natural — it appeared out of nowhere!"

"Mutants! It's got to be a Mutant!"

The panicked crowd was right. This wasn't nature's work.

When the winds died down, two figures appeared — Riptide and Emma Frost, the White Queen of the Mutant Brotherhood.

Emma still looked stunning — a flawless, mature beauty radiating confidence.

She approached with a feline grace, a playful smile curling her lips.

"Jean Grey," she purred, "three beautiful ladies — what a lovely sight. I'm Emma."

"Wanda."

"Lali."

"Jean Grey."

The trio exchanged cautious introductions. Though surprised, they were calm. Emma and Riptide alone were no real threat.

"Hehe, relax," Emma said smoothly. "I'm not here for trouble. I came to invite Jean to join the Brotherhood."

Her voice was silky, persuasive.

"Jean, how about it? Come with us. It's a paradise for Mutants — your real home. No discrimination, no judgment, no fear."

Home.

For most Mutants, that word carried deep meaning — something they'd been denied all their lives.

But Jean already had one. She didn't need another.

"I'm sorry," Jean said firmly. "I already have a home — and I'm very happy."

"I do appreciate your kindness, though I don't really understand your organization's purpose."

Emma's charming smile faded instantly. Rejection was never something she took lightly.

Her eyes turned cold as she stepped closer.

"You refuse me so bluntly… aren't you afraid your friends might suffer for it?"

Her gaze drifted toward Wanda and No. 18, her tone laced with open threat.

The air grew tense.
