With a cryptic smile, Serena closed her eyes, visualizing the path of the Xyz Network in her mind. Having only just learned about Xyz Summoning yesterday, Serena wasn't as proficient as Yūga Hōzumi and the others, and her movements were much slower.
"I overlay my two Level 4 monsters!" The moment the Xyz Network finished forming in her mind, Serena's eyes snapped open. Seeing the Stardust Vortex appear successfully before her, she excitedly clenched her fist.
"It worked!" Serena took the card that ejected from the Extra Deck zone of her Duel Disk. "Oh, raging winds that sweep through the valley, become a mighty dragon and descend now! Clear away the obstacles in my path! Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Tornado Dragon!"
A dragon formed from a violent tornado roared to life from the Stardust Vortex.

"You dare... you dare... You dare betray the noble Fusion Summon?" Mizutani Ri said, trembling, her expression as if Serena had committed some heinous crime.
"Didn't you say my previous plays were too old-fashioned? Seeing how confident you are, your trump card must be those two set cards in your backrow. Your line of defense... I'll break through it with this new bond I've forged!" Serena said, unperturbed. "I activate Tornado Dragon's effect!"
"Once per turn, by detaching one Xyz Material from this card, I can target one Spell or Trap Card on the field and destroy it!"
