Chapter 649 - Chapter 320: Me? Maybe I'll Go Plant Trees in the Desert

While Rhode and Mira were racking their brains to cheer up Mebius, Ultear returned to the Demon's Heart camp with Melty.

Precht didn't ask them what they talked about over there; he simply leaned on a makeshift cane and said, "Get ready, we're leaving now."

"President Hades," Ultear stopped the turning Precht, "Melty and I want to leave Demon's Heart."

Melty clung to Ultear's hand, a bit frightened.

"I see," Precht seemed to have expected it, "Do as you please. This guild is going to disappear anyway. By the way, don't call me Hades anymore; my name is Precht."

Ultear was somewhat surprised; the president's reaction was much calmer than she had imagined.

Melty timidly asked, "President, what are your plans after this?"

Actually, she could have left without saying goodbye, but after thinking through many things, she wanted to make a proper closure.

Precht showed a smile that neither Ultear nor Melty had seen before and said, "First, I'll settle these people. As for myself... who knows? Maybe I'll go plant trees in the desert."

Melty just thought the president hadn't made up his mind, so he casually made a joke — she didn't expect someone like him to make jokes.

Ultear said nothing and followed Precht to the side of the Demon's Heart's ship.

She raised her hands, and a light blue magic array appeared in front of her. The cracks on the massive ship closed one by one, fallen parts flew back, and the gaps were fully repaired.

Except for the people on the ship and that special heart, everything returned to how it was.

Ultear took a deep breath and said, "Consider this a farewell gift; we have things to do, so goodbye."

Melty quickly supported her, glancing at Precht's expression.

Precht merely nodded at them, beckoning the others to board the ship.

A floating magic array appeared beneath the massive ship, and it slowly ascended into the sky, disappearing into the night.

Although the power wasn't as substantial as when they arrived, at least it was serviceable.

After Demon's Heart had gone, Ultear looked towards the fallen giant Celestial Wolf Tree; this was the last thing she needed to do.

Meanwhile, Makarov was discussing with Kildas and Erza how to restore the Celestial Wolf Tree.

The initial idea was for him to transform into a giant and directly support the tree, then have Rhode use Earth Magic or have Kildas clear the tree pit, and let Jubia use Water Magic to water it...

But since the Celestial Wolf Tree was uprooted, the extent of root loss was unknown, and Makarov felt the risk was somewhat significant.

Perhaps it would be safer to invite Mr. Vorod, who ranks in the top four of the Ten Wizard Saints, to help.

Just as they were discussing it, everyone suddenly felt the ground shake, thinking another enemy was causing trouble, and they hurriedly ran outside the tent to check.

Under the sparse starlight, they saw a tree shadow, like a giant umbrella, slowly standing upright.

The soil in the tree pit returned to its place, the broken root systems reconnected, and the Celestial Wolf Tree stood once again in the center of the small island.

The surrounding lands, gravel, grass, and even moss seemed completely restored, as if they had never been destroyed.

As the Celestial Wolf Tree was restored, everyone but Laxus suddenly felt a warm power flowing into their bodies.

Its protective effect on guild members had returned.

Makarov exclaimed, "Is this... Time Magic?"

"Is it her?" Erza, who had seen Ultear's magic, wondered. She had only witnessed its destructive uses, not its restorative ones.

Gray believed Ultear had finally come to terms, smiling, "Isn't this using it well?"

Rhode and Mira, who were chatting with the First Generation, were also intrigued and immediately wanted to return to the camp to take a look.

Rhode asked, "Would the First Generation want to come with us? Consider it a chance to meet the guild's excellent juniors."

Mira laughed, "Yes, I'm sure everyone would love to see you."

Mebius seemed somewhat tempted but still declined:

"No, I already know Fairy Tail is bustling right now; if I went and saw it, I might feel lonely after you leave."

Rhode and Mira instinctively believed the First Generation couldn't leave Celestial Wolf Island, just like how Robin Lu had to stay near Nirvana.

Mebius smiled and said, "Go ahead; they might be waiting for you."

Rhode and Mira exchanged a glance and said, "We'll come back and say goodbye before we leave, and we'll visit often afterwards."

Mebius waved at them, and her figure gradually became ethereal.

The two bowed to the tombstone and hurried back to the camp.

"You two are too much, sneaking out so late for a date," Kana teased, complaining, and then pulled on Mira's arm, whispering in her ear, "Was it really just a date?"

"Don't talk nonsense, we went to see the First Generation," Mira retorted softly; seeing Kana's teasing attitude, she knew nothing bad had happened.

Rhode, after asking about the situation and knowing it was Ultear's doing, felt relieved.

Makarov cleared his throat and advised, "It's getting late, everyone hurry and rest; we'll return to the guild first thing tomorrow morning."

Although they said they'd head back in the morning, only a few hours were left.

Makarov called Rhode and Mira again, "You two... did you really see the First Generation?"

"Yes," Rhode described Mebius's current state and added, "The First Generation praised you for building Fairy Tail splendidly."

"Ah hahaha..." Makarov's face broke into a wide grin.

As president, nothing was more delightful than being acknowledged by the guild's founder.

But after a while, he felt a bit down, "Why didn't she talk to me when I was there, but spoke to you instead?"

"Maybe she finds me more pleasant to look at," Rhode bragged a bit, then added, "More likely, it's because Mira's cooking is too enticing."

"I roasted some meat there too, which smelled delicious," Makarov grumbled, feeling slightly indignant.

He decided to visit the First Generation again later; otherwise, he'd feel like he lost out.

Everyone returned to rest, and Celestial Wolf Island quieted down.

However, just after two or three hours, as dawn was breaking, everyone was suddenly awakened by shouting.

"Help!"

"Please!"

"Save Ultear!"

The voice was familiar; it sounded like that pink-haired girl who stayed close to Ultear.

Everyone rushed out of their tents to see Melty struggling to carry Ultear in her arms, both soaking wet.

Ultear was unconscious, with a piece of cloth torn from her clothes tied around her waist, stained with a large amount of blood.

Melty, in tears, cried for them to help her save Ultear.
