Chapter 642 - Chapter 150: Black Light Unleashed_2

This is the Moon, the base of Orbital Aviation, with over a hundred professional soldiers and hundreds of robots ready to switch to combat mode at any time. The entire base is equipped with numerous security measures and special weapons...

"But if you have ill intentions, we at least won't sit back and wait to be slaughtered," Lark calmly said. "So, now you can go and discuss with Lilith how to proceed."

As Lark was speaking, V leisurely opened the suitcase. Under everyone's watchful eyes, she hesitated for a moment before picking up a smart electromagnetic submachine gun and loaded it with a click.

Meanwhile, Mercer only calmly looked around, seemingly just keeping an eye on the security personnel surrounding him.

Wade frowned and exchanged glances with Lark for a moment. Then, his prosthetic eye lit up — after confirming information with Lilith, he slowly spoke in an indifferent tone: "Miss Lilith has made an exception for you, come on, let's go inside."

It seemed that Lark's attitude was somewhat displeasing to him, and Wade's demeanor appeared much colder than before.

But Lark wasn't bothered. She secretly sent a message to Mercer in the squad's voice chat.

[Lark: What should we do? There are too many people! Didn't you say there would be no more than a few dozen security personnel? There are already dozens just at the entrance alone!]

[Mercer: Maybe she temporarily deployed some more, but don't worry. If things get heated, just find a safe place to hide.]

[V: Damn, this Moon base feels worse than being on a rocket. I feel like I could leap into the sky with one kick of my leg.]

[Mercer: That's because you were sitting on the rocket — get used to it now before your legs give out, I don't have time to carry you later.]

[V: Ha, just make sure you don't need Sister V to carry you later!]

Seeing that these two still had time to bicker until now, Lark felt slightly reassured. As a senior agent who once undertook high-risk missions, she was regaining a long-lost feeling of excitement, which helped her calm down completely.

Wade led the group from the outer facilities inward, wandering through complex, seemingly identical corridors, passing through several security doors and various facility spaces before finally reaching what appeared to be the deepest part of the facility.

Without opening the door, Mercer could vaguely hear a familiar buzzing sound from inside — the cooling noise from the server room.

After Wade opened two very sturdy security doors, the view was filled with a room full of screens and electronic equipment. Outside the glass window of this room was a large, majestic-looking server room.

The overall layout seemed a bit like the Sea God Server room under the Voodoo Gang, but inside it was deserted, not a single hacker, only some armed robots standing at the sides of the room.

V quietly sent a message to Mercer.

[V: This place looks much larger than our server!]

[Mercer: Wait, something's not right.]

He didn't speak, but silently looked around, finally squinting his eyes.

The electronic signals were blocked?

No, that shouldn't be.

Looking at the room full of electronic devices, Mercer used the Network Access Vault to sense the dense, undulating data signals in the surroundings, silently using the Sky Net System's hacking program to connect to a seemingly inconsequential smart water dispenser's network in the office.

Then, the Sky Net System began intelligently operating, rapidly starting to crack various local electronic devices.

"You're here."

An indifferent mechanical synthesized female voice suddenly appeared, and one of the gun-wielding robots on the side of the room slowly stepped out.

The humanoid robot only had a camera on its face, and now, that camera was staring directly at Lark and the others.

Wade said expressionlessly, "Then I'll be leaving now."

Lilith only controlled the robot to nod, then Wade slightly bowed, turned, and opened the door to leave.

Lark cautiously looked around: "Lilith, I want to see you, not a robot."

"I'm right here." Lilith's calm voice echoed without surprise, as the robot put down its weapon and casually placed it aside, sat in front of a monitor, surprisingly crossing its legs like a human and resting one hand on the side of its face.

"Here, I am everywhere." Almost all the robots simultaneously spoke with the same voice, reverberating throughout the room, almost deafening.

Lark's helmet popped open, revealing a somewhat uneasy expression she had put on: "Isn't it a bit too quiet?"

"I don't think with your intelligence you can't comprehend the current situation — I won't openly appear in front of the public, right?"

After Lilith's rhetorical question, she straightforwardly stated, "Now, let's talk about the transaction."

She coldly summarized the situation and offered Lark a choice: "Firstly, I need you to immediately hand over the intelligence data concerning the Black Wall, and afterward, while I conduct data parsing and protocol use, provide me with real-time suggestions and answers.

Once I confirm the intelligence data collection is complete, I will arrange surgery for you.

During this time, none of your biological activities at the base will be restricted, until after the surgery, confirming our transaction is completed, you can choose to accept an employment contract from Orbital Aviation.
