Chapter 87 - Lin Chen's party-2

Pov: Vik

As soon as she reaches Roman, she will fall into his trap. After that, Roman will handle everything. Now I need to focus on my part. The plan I prepared is simple, but it has a lot of drama. This is necessary because we are dealing with a protagonist, and normal thinking won't work against him. I looked at Lu Xiaoran and said, "Lu Xiaoran, be ready. The real fun is about to start."

Lu Xiaoran looked at me with a confused expression. He slowly said, "Master, what do I need to do?"

Realizing I hadn't explained our plan to him, I whispered, "Lu Xiaoran, first you will go outside and enter the hotel through the front gate. But don't enter quietly; try to be as loud as possible. Beat the guards and create chaos at the party. If someone asks you why, just say you came to deliver justice because Lin Chen kidnapped your master."

He looked at me, clearly confused, and said, "Master, I think there are some problems with this plan. First, how can Lin Chen kidnap you?"

I considered his comment. He was right. Even if people don't know my strength, just knowing that I am Lu Xiaoran's and Roman's master makes it clear that I am strong. Just then, the system's voice broke in, "Host, you're bad at planning. Why don't you ask me for some ideas?"

I almost forgot about the system. I decided to hear one of its plans.

System: "Okay, Host. First, we will turn off the lights, then wear masks and beat Lin Chen until no one recognizes his face."

Vik: "No, that won't work. He is a protagonist. Something will happen to save him at the last moment. We need to gradually chip away at his protagonist status."

System: "How about using my hacking skills to make a video of him committing crimes and playing it at this hotel?"

Vik: "System, that's not how we operate. We need to act like a protagonist to deal with Lin Chen. If we use villainous methods, we will only strengthen his plot armor. I've read stories where the hero is first misunderstood, then clears up the misunderstandings, gaining more fame and trust."

System: "Then how will you deal with Lin Chen at this party? What was your original plan?"

Vik: "My plan is simple. It's a classic party crash. In this plan, Lin Chen will be the villain who kidnaps a family member of the hero, who is Lu Xiaoran. During this event, the hero will burst into the party, demanding the release of that person. He'll fight off the villain's people, and in the end, he'll make the villain release the family member, exposing the villain's true nature."

System: "But for this plan to work, our hero Lu Xiaoran needs to have a family member who is easy to harm or kidnap. We have neither. Roman is stronger than Lu Xiaoran. You are already known as their master. So, no one will believe this plan."

"I know, system," I replied, starting to think. I desperately needed someone close to us who wouldn't be harmed, someone who could gain sympathy from others. I looked over my shoulder and saw Pushpa. She was chewing on that cursed doll, looking cute and harmless. I got an idea. I'm sorry, Pushpa, but you have to take part in this mission.

Pushpa: "Meow?????"

After deciding to involve Pushpa, I explained the whole plan to Lu Xiaoran. I would hide in the folds of space, becoming undetectable. I really like this power; void travel is incredibly useful.

Lu Xiaoran quietly left the party through the back gate. I remembered there were two guards there who were unconscious. Maybe we could include them in our plan. While waiting for Lu Xiaoran to break in, I thought about other topics. After a while, I took Pushpa to the two unconscious guards. I woke them up and altered their memories a bit.

Once they regained consciousness, they would believe a black cat had tried to enter through the back gate. After they tried to stop her, she scratched their faces. With that set, I let them go and put Pushpa down, taking the cursed doll from her mouth. She looked agitated, wanting her toy back.

Before she could throw a tantrum, the two guards rushed toward her, trying to catch her. But she easily dodged. She was focused on me, as I held the doll in my hand, showing it to her. Pushpa followed me, trying to grab her toy back.

What seemed like a playful interaction between a pet and its owner had a twist. Only Pushpa could see me now that I was hidden in the folds of space. As I walked around with Pushpa trailing behind, we created chaos in the kitchen and several places in the hotel. Soon, a dozen of Lin Chen's guards gathered to catch her. I knew it was enough when I saw one of the guards carry a cage. I tossed the doll into the cage, and Pushpa followed the doll inside, catching it. Now, she was in the cage, chewing the doll peacefully. I almost felt sorry for her, but I was there to ensure she wasn't harmed.

After capturing her, the guards discussed how to deal with her, unaware that she could escape at any time. For now, she was happily playing with the doll inside the cage. While the guards were debating, Xia Yang arrived. This ex-fiancée and current girlfriend of Lin Chen came from the bathroom. On her way back to the main party area, she spotted Pushpa and, finding her cute, told the guards to give her the cage. This was unexpected but would help my plan succeed.

My plan is foolproof. Now the only thing left is for my disciple to enter. Just as I thought about this, I heard a commotion outside. Xia Yang and the guards also noticed it and rushed back to the main party area. When we all arrived, including me, we saw that the main gate of the hotel was destroyed. The guards stationed there were scattered on the ground, unconscious, as if hit by a truck. Standing at the entrance of the party was Lu Xiaoran, surrounded by dust from the destroyed gate. He slowly walked in, anger on his face. If everything goes according to plan, I just need a pack of popcorn to watch the drama unfold.
