A few days passed by since Naoya's and Satoru's visit to the HQ.
Right now, Naoya was busy washing Maki and Mai, who were refusing to go to the bath.
Too bad, the two were gullible enough to be lured into the bath for a bribe.
Once the three were done and dressed, Naoya gave the two girls a task to keep them busy.
"Alright, Maki-chan, Mai-chan, here you two get two bags each. Start packing the important stuff that you will need."
"Nii-Nii! Toys!"
"Games!"
The two declared in unison.
Naoya looked at them and flicked their foreheads.
"Clothes. Underwear," said Naoya.
"No need!" declared Mai.
"We wear the same! Toys are more important!" declared Maki.
The two got flicked again, making the twins glare at Naoya and launch an attack on him.
Too bad Naoya retaliated with tickling, rendering the two powerless and causing them to fall.
"It is an important mission. Do it properly. Understood?"
"Mission!"
"We do mission!"
The two saluted, probably learned that by copying the rabbits.
Naoya chuckled and ruffled their head, making them smile, and then left the room for the two to complete their mission. Zankyo, their babysitter/bodyguard, was left behind to look after them and ensure that they actually packed the right stuff.
Naoya made his way to the clan head's office and knocked on the door.
"Come in," came Naobito's voice.
Naobito was promoted from the heir to the actual clan head recently, considering Kagenori was getting less active and would have trouble managing the clan now more than ever, considering that he lost his cursed energy.
The clan knew that the old man lost his cursed energy and that it was Naoya who helped contain the old man's energy within him, acting as the vessel.
There were some dissatisfactions within the clan about this, but neither Kagenori nor Naoya cared much about criticism. They knew very well that those who were criticising didn't have the guts to act against them anyway. Kagenori's guards were still serving him, being loyal to him rather than the clan, while Naoya was simply f*cking too strong for them to do anything against him.
Naoya opened the door and entered, and spotted Naobito, the elders and the clan administration personnel working.
Kagenori was sitting there as well, though now he just acted as the advisor.
"I will be leaving for Kyoto in the afternoon," informed Naoya.
"Hm. I have already informed the Kyoto branch of the clan to prepare for your arrival. Use the branch estate as you see fit. While you are staying there, you will be acting as the head of the branch estate. Mind your position and actions," said Naobito.
"Alright. The girls will be going with me as well, so do keep that in mind. Inform uncle and aunt if they ask about them," replied Naoya.
"...Alright....Let's take a break. We will resume the work after lunch," announced Naobito and stood up.
The rest of them followed as well and left the room, leaving behind Naoya, Naobito, and Kagenori.
"Do you want me to assign some guards?" asked Naobito.
"No need. Jujutsu High won't look kindly at Zenin's interference. It will be okay, hopefully nothing huge happens there."
"Hmm...what about the kids? Won't they be a hindrance?"
"The two are manageable, no need to worry about them. I would be worried more if I left them behind," replied Naoya with a shrug.
Naobito looked sceptical, but refrained from speaking further. He knew his son was protective of the girls and didn't trust the clan enough to let the two be taken care of by them.
Kagenori, who was looking at the exchange, finally spoke.
"Hmm...maybe a trip to Kyoto would be a nice change of pace," muttered the old man.
Naoya and Naobito looked at the old man who was barely holding himself with a stick.
"You coming with me grandpa?" asked Naoya.
"I haven't been to the branch estate in quite a while. I suppose going around meeting a few friends would be nice," replied Kagenori.
"Are you in a condition to move around as you please?" asked Naobito.
"Heh. You doubt me? I still have enough life left in me," replied Kagenori.
Naoya and Naobito looked at him with concern. The old man was very frail, and the two didn't want him to exert himself and worsen his condition.
Kagenori knew that too, but now that his time was coming near, he wanted to spend his time in a relatively peaceful environment, which the main house certainly wasn't. The kids would be moving to Kyoto, so he could move there and spend time with them and feel more like a grandfather rather than a clan head.
His main regret of not having a good relationship with his son was mostly resolved. He was not at the age where he could ask for more, considering that Naobito himself was quite old for them to restart.
Naoya, on the other hand, was very close to him, since the kid helped him time and time again to mend ways with Naobito and rather than treating him like the clan head, the kid always treated him like a grandpa. The kid also made sure that Maki and Mai had a good relationship with him, making him have more casual connections within the clan. The girls might not have known him for a long time or might not remember him in the future, but he still wanted to do as much as he could for his three grandchildren.
"Oi! Don't look at me like I am a pitiful old man! I can very well manage a trip or two," complained Kagenori and struck his stick on the ground, making the two snap out of their thoughts.
"Kiyoshi," called Kagenori.
One of his bodyguards emerged out of nowhere and bowed to him.
"Ask someone to prepare my luggage. You all too. Pack your bags," ordered Kagenori.
The bodyguard nodded and signalled the rest of the bodyguards who appeared as well, and gave a nod and left to pack their luggage, leaving only one of them behind to protect Kagenori.
Once the room was silent, Kagenori slowly made his way towards Naoya.
"Lower your head for a bit," said Kagenori.
Naoya looked in confusion but still followed. A moment later, he felt something around his neck and noticed that it was the [Will of Shadows], his grandpa's cursed tool.
"Now that I don't have cursed energy, it was just an accessory for me....Make good use of it," said Kagenori with a smile.
Naoya traced the amulet around his neck and held it tightly.
"I will. I will make sure to use it to beat the crap out of anyone who faces me. Thank you grandpa," replied Naoya with a smile.
Kagneori smiled as well and raised his fist.
Naoya's smile widened as he fist bumped the old man.
Naobito looked at the two of them a bit awkwardly. He knew that the two of them were quite close and didn't know where he fitted.
"Naobito," called Kagenori.
"Yes, father."
"I know that this is not a cursed tool. But still have it," said Kagenori and handed a small box to Naobito.
Naobito took the box and opened it; inside it was quite an artistic wristwatch.
"This... isn't this?" asked Naobito.
"Yes....Still, I want you to keep it," said Kagenori softly.
Naobito stared at the watch for a while before taking it out of the box and wearing it.
"So? What is the time?" asked Naoya.
"...The battery's dead," replied Naobito with a chuckle.
"...Thank you, father," said Naobito with a smile.
Kagenori stared at Naobito for a bit before he smiled in satisfaction and walked out of the room.

A few days passed by.
Naoya, the girls, and Kagenori, who came to the Kyoto branch of the Zenin clan, were finally settled.
Right now, Naoya was heading to the Kyoto Jujutsu High for the entrance ceremony.
After climbing a massive number of stairs, Naoya finally spotted the top where the school was located and noticed that someone was already there.
He reached the top as well and checked out the boy who looked around his age, and he guessed that he was a fellow first year as well.
"Hello. I am Naoya Zenin, a first-year," greeted Naoya with a smile.
The boy looked surprised and looked around before pointing at himself.
"Hm? Yes, I am talking to you," replied Naoya and thought that the boy was a bit weird.
The boy had light blue hair and a fair complexion. He was shorter than Naoya but looked quite built compared to average high schoolers.
"...Nice to meet you. Tetsuya Kuroko. First year as well," greeted the boy.
Naoya nodded and noted that the boy was a civilian sorcerer.
'Well, no clan issues with him, I guess...' thought Naoya.
He was about to talk with his fellow first-year when he heard the sounds of footsteps.
Naoya turned around and noticed an old man approaching them.
"Hm? Naoya Zenin. Right on time," said the old man.
"Yoshinobu Gakuganji-san, right? Nice to meet you," greeted Naoya.
"Nice to meet you. Welcome to Kyoto Jujustu High. I hear you and the Gojo kid caused quite a commotion at the HQ.... Learn to separate love-related issues from serious ones. Being young doesn't give you an excuse to be-"
"Wait! What do you mean by love-related issues?" asked Naoya, cutting the old man in between.
"Rude.....The news going around is that you and the Gojo kid went to the Jujutsu HQ to complain about putting you both in different schools and that you two are deeply involved with each other to the point of promising to spend the rest of your lives together....I guess that isn't true," said Gakuganji as he saw Naoya's jaw dropping more and more, and a look of horror appearing on the kid's face.
"OF COURSE THAT'S NOT TRUE!!! THE ONLY THING THAT I EVEN REMOTELY LIKE ABOUT SATORU IN THAT WAY IS HIS MOM!!!!!" yelled Naoya and immediately took out his phone and called Satoru.
"Yay! Nao-"
"YOU F*CKING BASTARD!!!!!" complained Naoya and started arguing with Satoru over the phone.
Satoru, who was on his way to school, got the news about his 'tastes' and was as much if not more surprised than Naoya.
He remained silent for a while and said, "Well, if it is with Naoya, I don't mind."
"I do mind!!!!" yelled Naoya.
"Well then 'hubby' talk to you later. Have a great day."
"F*ck you. Have a great day," replied Naoya and ended the call.
