Chapter 74: The Quick Attack Type Pink Hair Becomes the Second Winner
"Do you have any favorite milk tea shops or cafes?"
After school in the afternoon, having agreed to meet in front of the garage, Ren looked at the graceful Karen and first asked if she had any regular spots.
"Yes, this one."
A bright smile spread across Karen's face as she showed Ren the map on her phone. This wasn't the time to say "anything's fine"—she couldn't leave everything up to Ren.
Her choice was actually a trendy internet-famous spot, as she genuinely enjoyed their drinks and desserts when the occasion called for it.
"Can I ask why you're able to accept this? Honestly, even I find it somewhat unbelievable."
After securing a private room at the internet celebrity store and settling in, Ren gazed at Karen's charming smile, his tone curious and puzzled.
"Hmm~ where should I start? Actually, since entering high school, I've always wanted to be in a relationship or something similar, but I never found anyone who made my heart flutter until I met Watanabe-kun."
"My heart, which had been beating through cheerful but almost monotonous daily life, became lively again because of Watanabe-kun. You made my heart race."
"But Watanabe-kun already had a girlfriend, and I regretted it for a long time, though I never gave up inside."
"After all, Bocchi-chan didn't seem like much of a threat before. Just as I was waiting for an opportunity, I heard that Bocchi-chan supports Watanabe-kun having a Harem, so I thought this was a chance given to me by heaven."
"As for why I can accept Watanabe-kun having a Harem, it's actually quite simple."
"Watanabe-kun, you're more outstanding than you realize—handsome, gentle, quite wealthy yet low-key, and you can tolerate all sorts of flaws in Bocchi-chan. It makes people admire you while also feeling jealous of Bocchi-chan."
"Someone like you is almost too perfect as a boyfriend, so perfect it feels unreal. When I found out you could accept having a Harem, I thought there's nothing I can't accept either."
Pausing here, Karen chuckled lightly before continuing:
"Even if our feelings break down in the end, I won't regret today's choice. After all, being with Watanabe-kun isn't an opportunity everyone gets."
"But I believe Watanabe-kun probably won't abandon me, since I'm a beauty too—and a beauty with pink hair at that. This is absolutely proof of our bond and the origin of our intertwined destinies."
Hearing this, Ren seemed momentarily dazed. If he really thought about it, this formal confession and pouring out of feelings from Karen was his first experience. When he started dating Hitori, it was much more reserved, expressed through the romance of music.
So Karen's words still had some impact on him. Just when he thought no one would accept his having a Harem, Karen accepted it.
"So what are Watanabe-kun's thoughts? Will you refuse or accept?"
After confessing her feelings, Karen looked nervously at Ren. Although Ren had shown interest in having a Harem, she couldn't be sure he would definitely accept her.
"Though we might not know each other that well yet, please take care of me from now on."
Taking a deep breath, Ren accepted Karen.
"Amazing~!!"
Overjoyed at his words, Karen left her seat and moved beside Ren, straddling him as she leaned down and, under his astonished gaze, offered her first kiss.
"Giggle~"
Though she had taken the initiative, it was Karen who ended up flustered, her cheeks flushed crimson as she hugged Ren's arm and laughed softly.
Nothing conveyed feelings more clearly than a girl's initiative. At first, Ren felt somewhat awkward, since he and Karen hadn't been particularly close before.
But she had taken the initiative to kiss him—clumsy yet intensely passionate—and such sincere, fervent emotions couldn't be faked.
Since she had offered her genuine feelings, he would naturally respond in kind. Moreover, physical contact and kissing were undoubtedly powerful catalysts for rapidly deepening emotions.
Now he was someone with two girlfriends.
Ren held Karen's hand, interlacing their fingers. The tangible sensation still felt somewhat surreal to him.
"Ren~ What are you thinking about?"
Noticing Ren's momentary distraction, Karen reached up to pinch his cheek, puffing out her own in a pout. How could he space out when he had such a beautiful girlfriend right beside him? It was just too much.
"I'm thinking about our future. It's too late for regrets now."
Snapping back to reality, Ren smiled gently and then leaned down to peck Karen on the cheek.
"Future? I can't think that far ahead. For now, you have to spend lots of time with me. I'll talk to Bocchi-chan about it."
Tilting her head with a slightly bewildered expression, Karen nonetheless broke into a happy smile, pulling Ren even tighter against her, burying him deep within her ample bosom.
She, Himemiya Karen, was a force to be reckoned with—fully capable of enveloping Ren's arm.
"I've already spoken with her. Have you ever had Western food? How about we try it together tonight?"
Ren's expression remained unchanged, but inwardly, he felt a ripple of emotion.
Just as Karen was drawn to his appearance and personality and had fallen for him, he too was captivated by her charm. It was a process of mutual attraction.
"~"
Karen had no objections. Today was a day worth commemorating, and she would follow Ren's arrangements.
And so, Ren reserved a private room and pondered what commemorative gift to give Karen. Perhaps it wasn't necessary, but if it was within his means, he would make sure everything was properly arranged.
Noticing Karen's "hime-cut" hairstyle, Ren had an idea. He contacted someone to craft a crown, adorned with sparkling gemstones.
During their meal, a server brought the crown to their private room. Ren took it out and personally placed it on Karen's head, making her look like a true princess.
"Ren, this must be expensive, right?"
Karen was both excited and happy. She loved the gift, but she was more worried about burdening Ren financially. She could still split the cost of the Western meal with him, but this crown, which looked like it was set with genuine gemstones, was something she couldn't possibly match with a gift of equal value.
"It's not expensive. The gems are all imitations. Besides, what matters most is that it suits you perfectly. Please accept it with ease."
To reassure Karen, Ren deliberately presented the truth as falsehood. Though still somewhat doubtful, this allowed Karen to breathe a huge sigh of relief.
After receiving the token of affection, Karen gazed at Ren with eyes so tender they seemed to overflow with emotion. Her cheeks flushed, she finished dinner with Ren and during their walk, began pulling him toward a love hotel.
"Karen, don't be impulsive. We have plenty of time."
In this regard, Ren was actually more conservative than Karen. Noticing her attempt to lead him into the love hotel, he smiled and gently patted the back of her hand.
"This isn't impulse or recklessness. If it's with Ren, it's okay. I had already planned this—it's just that tonight you've given me too many wonderful surprises. Both the fine dining and this gift have made my love for you overflow."
Karen's face was crimson as she spoke, somewhat embarrassed yet exceptionally serious. She wasn't acting on momentary impulse but had made this decision after careful consideration. Love should be passionate, and since she'd met the right person, there was no need for hesitation. Though they lacked the typical getting-to-know-each-other phase, it didn't matter much—with deeper communication, they could always learn about each other later.
"I understand."
Realizing Karen's sincere feelings, Ren changed his mind. He took her hand and led her back to the car.
"Ren?"
Unsure whether this meant acceptance or rejection, Karen looked puzzled.
"Let's go to my place. A love hotel feels too casual. For now, let's ask our teacher for leave. We'll be mischievous together, skip classes together."
Ren explained softly in response. He didn't want their first time to feel rushed with Karen. Since her feelings were so passionate and proactive, he should respond with equal fervor.
Afterward, Ren brought Karen to his house in Ikebukuro.
"So beautiful..."
Both the interior decor and the brilliant night view visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows left Karen spellbound.
"You can enjoy this view every night from now on."
Holding Karen close, Ren whispered tenderly. Without words, Karen closed her moist eyes, lifted her face, and joined her lips with his...
