Noah paused upon hearing this. Then, he looked at the water mug, his eyes flickering with hesitation.
After a moment, he lowered the mug and nodded, "Yes. My younger sister is there. My Mom and Dad are… upstairs. Max, do you have more water for them? They also haven't eaten or drank anything for several days now."
"Yeah. Don't worry. I got you." Max said and walked out of the room, closing the door after him.
Noah breathed in relief and began sipping the water again, each sip making him feel as if what he was drinking wasn't water, but some refreshing brew.

Max knocked on Noah's sister's room and waited.
Even after a few seconds had passed, he didn't hear any movements from inside, he was about to call out to her but stopped himself, knowing it would only put her on guard.
