So, Su Ming used the same trick he used to fool Cable to now fool the X-Men.
He only shifted the focus slightly, highlighting the cruel treatment mutants received in this era, telling them that Germany is conducting large-scale experiments on mutants.
As expected, these young ladies, brought up by the Professor to be extremely righteous, couldn't stand it anymore. They immediately took the bait and planned to rescue their 'compatriots.'
Unexpectedly, among these girls, it wasn't Vanessa who took charge, but another girl with a streak of white hair on her forehead who took the map.
"Remember me? I'm Little Rascal..."
Su Ming noticed she was wearing a black uniform but still had gloves on, indicating that she couldn't fully control her powers yet.
If Rakshasa's ability were pushed to its limits, she could absolutely be considered Omega Level. Although she isn't strong enough now, she's still more than capable of handling enemies of this era.
"Of course, I remember, but you've all grown up now."
Su Ming was just making small talk; the young ladies thought he too came from the future. In reality, Su Ming had no idea what he had done in the future.
"Of course... last time you saw us, we were still taking classes in the old mansion, and now we are the New X-Men." Little Rascal puffed out her chest, showing him the X-Men insignia on her chest. She proudly assumed the role of Captain and introduced her team members: "This is Secret Guest, this is Time Vortex, this is Peeling, and this is Kay."
The others were fine, but bringing Secret Guest to travel through time was not a good choice.
She wielded a great sword in one hand and performed magic with the other, looking very powerful. She was the only Warlock among mutants, very strong.
However, her magical power derived from the Hell Border. Even though she became the Queen there and a half Dimension Lord, with a dimension as her backing, she paid a price herself.
Her body was half-demonized; she would grow scales, horns, and claws when using her powers, resembling a demon. She also needed to spend half of each year back in the Alternate Dimension to guard the Hell Border, her source of power. She had to defeat all demons challenging her to ensure her throne wasn't lost.
At this point in time, she's not the master of Hell Border, and if she uses Dark Magic, it might cause issues.
Since Su Ming thought of this issue, he naturally wanted to remind them, but Secret Guest just snorted arrogantly, blushing and turning her head, hefting her Soul Greatsword to indicate she had her weapon, needing no magic.
This topic piqued Monac's interest; he wanted to discuss the future development of magic with his peers.
Ignoring the mage's spell research meeting, Su Ming invited a few people to sit down for a chat.
"Wade, cousin can only help you this far. Vanessa can stall for a while, but she'll eventually find out you're a scumbag." Su Ming had a smile on his face but said secretly in his heart.
He then asked Gin to order a few more dishes, not just fish and potatoes. He brought out a few servings of convenient stews as well.
They chatted while eating; although it wasn't proper dining etiquette, they weren't ordinary people and didn't need to adhere to it.
Besides, Su Ming used to be a Celestial Dynasty person; isn't discussing matters while eating a standard practice?
He wasn't worried about their strength; even without Secret Guest's magical support, their team was still very strong.
Peeling was a defense type mutant whose skin could mimic any material she understood, like rock, bark, or Adamantium. If she could analyze Vibranium and Uru Steel structures, she could mimic them too.
Kay was similar, a defense type mutant, able to use telekinesis to construct an armored shell, reminiscent of Gundams or Cosmos Knights, enough to defend against any weapon below Adamantium.
Time Vortex was an extremely rare mutant. Her ability was to throw an Energy Ball, causing all time within about fifty meters of the explosion point to completely stop, freezing enemies eternally "on display."
Coupled with Little Rascal and Copycat, who could absorb and mimic others' abilities, this team was even stronger than the ragtag X-Men army Cable brought.
And anyway, even if not for Wade, hosting young beauties for a meal was certainly more pleasant than catering to Cable and his rough bunch, right?
The food was subpar, but they had decent liquor, and it didn't matter if minors could drink; Su Ming had Gin serve two bottles to each. Even if they didn't drink them, they could take them back as gifts.
To buy Deadpool some time, Su Ming had no choice but to care about the young ladies' academic lives, asking about their education and training, gathering a lot of future intelligence.
He didn't acquire this information for free; he promised them that once everything was over, he would take them to New York for gourmet food and lavish shopping sprees, all on his tab, as long as they liked 40s vintage fashion.
He also casually advised them to act cautiously when saving Earth, to be mindful not to mess with the timeline.
The young ladies giggled and tasted the fish and chips, quickly sticking out their tongues and shaking their heads. The convenient stews, however, were quite welcomed; except Kay, most quickly showed interest in Skywalker's liquor.
Finally, no one came looking for Wade again, so Su Ming and company peacefully finished their meal, and no explosions or other incidents sounded through London City, suggesting Wade somehow temporarily evaded danger.
So now, everyone could disperse. After agreeing on a meeting time and securing the Namor Fragment, Su Ming waved goodbye to the young ladies, each going their separate ways.
Little Rascal politely bid him farewell, while Secret Guest just gave him a strange look, the other girls laughing as they ran off.
Even though the streets were still chaotic, they all seemed quite intrigued and gleefully decided to visit Big Ben for a tour first.
Vanessa, not having drunk too much — she used to be a bar girl with a high tolerance — might have realized something, hurriedly tugging Secret Guest to find Wade.
The three Beard Brothers stood by the street, watching the young ladies disappearing from sight, sighing in unison.
Wade's girlfriend was coming across time and space for him, but what about them?
All three were single, sharing the same sentiment of loneliness.
The spring breeze brought only coldness, the desolate street views mirrored their hearts, everything was bleak.
"Boss, your coat."
Gin emerged from behind, draped a woolen coat over Su Ming, and instantly, everything felt different.
"Sure, I might not have a girlfriend, but I have a loyal aide in Gin; you Beard Brothers can't shroud me in a failure's atmosphere!"
Su Ming radiated a powerful aura, a confidence befitting a successful mob boss.
Holloway's mouth twitched: "Monac, do you have a Teleportation Gate directly to Paris?"
Monac: "Yes, it's already prepared."
"Let's leave, now. Find a bar to prove the Beard's charm."
"Great, I should brush up on my French, too."
Monac raised his staff and tapped the air, creating a Wormhole, faintly revealing the distant Eiffel Tower on the other side, situated in a discreet alley.
The two dove into the Wormhole as if fleeing, needing to prove themselves.
Su Ming picked up his large box of uniforms and weapons; he had to get over there and prepare as the next fragment was on that side.
Before entering the portal, he remembered something, reached into his pocket, and tossed the big gemstone ring he had snatched during the Kama Taiji battle to Gin.
"Good job; this ring looks pretty. You can play with it."
Having said that, he stepped into the Wormhole, which vanished instantly, returning everything to normal.
Gin glanced at the ring, noticing the huge square gemstone on it, looking quite gaudy. Not knowing what he was thinking, he smiled, shook his head, and slowly slipped the ring on his finger.
The previously dull gemstone started glowing brightly.
He immediately shoved his hand into his pocket, turned expressionless, and walked away, quickly leaving with the distillery's goons.
