Monac's original plan wasn't wrong. From his point of view, since the opponent's defense was invisible, choosing an invisible form of magic for a surprise attack should fulfill the purpose.
But the mage still didn't understand Mr. Sinister's abilities.
What he thought in his mind, Mr. Sinister had already seen through his psychic ability. How could he achieve the effect of a surprise attack?
So when the invisible web woven from tendrils was thrown over his head, Sinister instantly unleashed telekinesis. He slid across a long distance like a ghost shadow, dodging it altogether.
His face still bore that enigmatic smile, as if saying he had seen through everything from the start.
But his reaction was all within Su Ming's expectations. Knowing the opponent possessed psychic abilities, how could he not take precautions?
This was only the first step of the plan; his retreat direction was the same as Su Ming had anticipated. Attacking from this angle indeed forced him away from the burning laboratory, driving him towards the much darker end of the factory.
He had already discovered Mr. Sinister's weakness: a mutant is still human.
The factory was now pitch-dark, and everyone had different means of perceiving their external environment.
Su Ming relied on the night vision equipment in his helmet, Deadpool relied on wall-climbing, Dr. Holloway used a flashlight, Monac and the Magic Floating Cloak relied on magical sensing, and the symbiote relied on smell.
So what did Mr. Sinister rely on? He relied on his psychic ability.
In his mind vision, the doctor's brain was like that of a normal person. If approached, he could completely control the doctor as a puppet. Although the mage possessed a more steadfast mind, it was linked to many terrifying beings, leaving his brain riddled with holes.
As for Deathstroke's mind image, it was a silver brain, unreadable and incomprehensible.
As for that red-black Joker, the brain image was a pile of smelly dog feces, radiating an inexplicable threat, with a voice telling him that reading the Joker's memory would immediately lead to his death.
He judged the position of each person by their unique mental images.
So as long as he is kept away from the burning laboratory and without firelight, he must continue to rely on psychic ability to fight.
This was the victory opportunity Su Ming discovered.
"Wade? Are you dead or not?! If not, squeak."
Su Ming anchored himself with the symbiote as he advanced step by step, while swinging the Great Sword to chase Sinister.
"Squeak..." Deadpool pushed off the bricks piled on him while mending his bones: "Why a mouse squeak when I'm not dead? Personally, I think a cat meow is nicer."
"Less nonsense, come quickly, run." Su Ming swung another sword, blocked by Mr. Sinister again.
Almost all attack methods became constrained, his exertion constantly hindered, muscles and joints stuck, in short, he couldn't hit Sinister properly.
Mr. Sinister was not just a punching bag either; he occasionally retaliated with rays, sometimes targeting Su Ming, but more often shooting at Holloway.
Fortunately, before his ray emitted, the diamond above his head would flash, so Holloway managed to dodge, though in a flustered manner.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, what do you want? It's a bit hard to chop him, this invisible force won't let me near."
While mending his bones, Deadpool ran to Su Ming's side, and Su Ming tied him to himself with the symbiote, writing some words on Deadpool's back with a tentacle.
"Hehe, tickles, cousin you're so perverse, loving tickling play, have you seen Fifty Shades of Grey? It's a type of SM." Deadpool wiggled continuously, being tossed up and down by the symbiote, he protested playfully at Su Ming.
Su Ming gave him a hard look; this wasn't the time for jokes, he indeed had a plan to deal with Sinister, but there would only be one chance.
If this plan failed, it wouldn't work next time.
However, even though Deadpool was joking around, Su Ming had no other immediate options, as the two of them were the only ones whose minds couldn't be read by Mr. Sinister, any tactic could only be executed by Deathstroke and Deadpool.
The key to this tactic was using Deadpool's abilities.
Deadpool's superpowers were first his super-annoying nature, and secondly an undying body-like self-healing ability.
No matter if he understood the tactical arrangement or not, Su Ming executed it immediately.
He discreetly drew the Owl Dagger with one hand, forcefully chopping off Deadpool's head...
Immediately after, the symbiote exerted a sudden force, hurling Deadpool's body towards Mr. Sinister in the darkness.
That's right, this was Su Ming's tactic. When Deadpool was decapitated, although he could only control his head, his body would still perform the last command received before decapitation, which was the seizing action Su Ming had instructed.
Doctor Sinister's psychic ability could detect the opponent's brain and thoughts but couldn't sense a headless corpse, exploiting this superpower weakness was Su Ming's loophole.
Deadpool's headless corpse was flung by the symbiote's great force like a projectile, and given the already close distance, plus the suddenness, Deadpool's headless body hugged Mr. Sinister tightly.
Blood sprayed from the severed neck, covering Sinister's face in an instant.
The opportunity was fleeting; if Deadpool's strength wasn't enough he'd be shaken off, the key was to strike while Sinister was confused.
Su Ming set down Deadpool's head, handing the Great Sword over to the symbiote protruding from his chest armor. The black organism-like liquid wriggled, and the sword flowed through the symbiote to the tentacle tip, allowing Su Ming to pierce both Sinister and Deadpool right through the heart in Sinister's bewilderment.
Immediately after, the symbiote wrenched Su Ming, and Su Ming pounced over, forming a tangle with the three.
"Right, just like that, gouge his eyes, kick his birdie." Deadpool's head lay to the side, still giving Su Ming advice, yet what impact would such injuries have on a self-healing ability user?
So Su Ming opted to knee Sinister's birdie while strangling his neck as Sinister stuck out his tongue.
Sinister started struggling with all his might, telekinesis sent the three zooming around the ceiling, bricks and stones cascaded down, shaking the entire underground space to its core.
When he emitted rays from the diamond on his head, Su Ming tilted his head to dodge it; when he gasped for breath, Su Ming headbutted Sinister.
Deadpool's headless torso was wedged between, its stench incessantly invading their nostrils.
Now was a matter of willpower; they were both self-healing powers, the symbiote and magic cloak bound them tightly, nobody could escape, hence they were locked in a standoff.
From heaven to the ground, bouncing from this side to the next, in close combat, Su Ming's strength held a massive advantage.
Sinister's punches and kicks were entirely shielded by armor, telekinesis was endured by Su Ming relying on his X Metal Skeleton. Meanwhile, the dagger in Su Ming's hand continuously bled Sinister, and his leg tricks were relentless.
Mr. Sinister wasn't a warrior; his tolerance for pain surely couldn't compare to Deathstroke. Even if it took days and nights, this time Su Ming was bound to win.
"Come, come, betting's on! Slade win 1 for 0.02, Mr. Sinister win 1 for 30!"
Deadpool's head on the ground seized the chance to open a gambling pool, his little eyes watching his body fly everywhere, embedded with numerous metal shards and stones, chunks of flesh falling, a hint of regret brewed within.
"Could this still be usable after picking it up later?"
Needless to say, the battling duo dismissed his thoughts, quite evidently, this was destined to be a protracted battle...
