Chapter 264 - Chapter 232: New Tactics

Wade put away the cash, and he roughly understood what was going on. After all, he was a creation of the government's Weapon X program and knew a lot about mutant research.

Namor isn't exactly a mutant, but his blood and genes are also valuable. If these things spread all over the world, Deadpool wouldn't want to live in a fishy-smelling world either.

Namor + Cloning + Atlantis = Doomsday. It's like he's back to when he was a kid, with the teacher writing this formula on the blackboard while Target Eye was aiming at the teacher's behind.

The key point is, he doesn't like eating fish, especially hates spitting out bones.

"I'm in. Got a plan?"

"The plan is simple. First, meet my teammates, Dr. Holloway and the Magic Prince Monac." Su Ming turned to introduce the two onlookers: "This is Wade, my little cousin."

Deadpool was not shy at all, immediately rushing over to put his arms around the two, looking very familiar.

"I've heard of you, the legendary Avenging Angel. Although your level is slightly lacking, you've lived long enough. Interested in signing up for my Deadpool training class? You'll become a top-notch assassin in no time."

"..." Dr. Holloway was instantly overwhelmed; Dual Gun Hero never said what the future would be like, but it didn't sound very optimistic now...

"As for the mages..." Deadpool stared at Monac for a long time and clicked his tongue: "Sorry, never heard of you. I'm not familiar with the Magic Realm, but we have something in common... we're both this handsome, our homes both stink. But that's okay; we're men of style, haha."

Monac merely lifted his bowler hat in a gesture of friendly greeting. Mages usually hide in the shadows and don't mingle with ordinary people. It seems that in the future, at least he hasn't gone mad and caused any big trouble.

"Alright, we've locked down dozens of potential locations where Namor could be. Your task is to go to each place, burst in, and curse at everyone you see, so they'll attack you."

Wade scratched his head: "Uh, sounds straightforward, but you also have a healing factor and a great set of armor. Shouldn't you be the one doing this task?"

"Uh, you're more creative with insults. I'll support you from the back." Su Ming said dismissively. Sure, he had a healing ability, but it wasn't invincible; it still hurt when hit by certain attacks. Since they spent the money, they might as well enjoy the service, right?

"Haha, of course, Deadpool is creative. I'm Earth's strongest... mercenary with the best rhetoric." He glanced at Deathstroke beside him and immediately changed his tone: "Anyway, the process is breaking in, cursing, slashing, and done. Right?"

"Right, and if things go south and we need to retreat, you're covering the back." Su Ming wrapped an arm around his shoulder, and they continued walking towards the street corner under the umbrella, with the doctor and mage following.

"...Can we get a little more money?"

...........

Because of the weather, there wasn't a single car on the street, dashing Su Ming and Wade's hopes of a heist. But luckily, other than the doctor, none of them were ordinary people, so walking wouldn't be a problem.

About two hours later, they approached the target area.

It was a massive sewer entrance resembling a large gate channeling water into a medieval city wall, where countless street drains converged, with torrents pouring into the pitch-black hole below, creating a waterfall-like roar.

"Looks like someone tossed him down the drain. Good job!" Wade clapped loudly beside Su Ming, with an obvious mischievous expression on his face under the mask.

"We're going down." Su Ming noticed a row of steel ladders leading below, though now covered with water, very slippery.

"Wow, hopping down a sewer at the drop of a hat, cousin, you really have that DC vibe, so dark. I never go into sewers, too smelly..."

"Do those peculiar voices in your head tell you anything?" If Deadpool could break the fourth wall, Su Ming didn't mind cheating to get answers.

"There was a time when a lewd voice constantly talked in my head, like a bearded man squinting at you, even licking his lips... but after I underwent the transformation experiment, the voice disappeared. How did you know? Did I tell you? I only know you're from another universe but you're my cousin, and many people are secretly watching our performance, that's about it."

Deadpool looked at Su Ming in surprise, scratching his head and trying to recall, but the cancer cells had damaged his brain, and he often suffered from memory loss.

Su Ming sighed imperceptibly. It seemed Deadpool's wall-breaking ability was also wasted. It didn't matter; they couldn't expect everything to be just like the comics, given it's a real world here.

With that decided, a symbiote's tendril flicked Deadpool onto the ladder: "Off you go."

The group climbed onto the ladder, continuing downward towards the unknown, as Su Ming drifted beside them using the Magic Floating Cloak, slowly descending. After all, The Ancient One didn't say he had to return it, treated like a trade for the gemstone, making a small profit.

How to see if it was a gain or a loss? It's simple, trading a temporarily useless gemstone for the flying ability, compensating for Deathstroke's shortcoming, is a gain.

"The scent here is full of British vibes. I feel like I've become more sophisticated. What do you think?"

"Should I change into a tailcoat first? I have one in my space bag."

"Oh, did a corpse just float by? It's growing mushrooms, poisonous ones. I recognize those wavy red spots."

"Why aren't you speaking? Did the weather affect your mood? Should we hit up Mexico for some fun first?"

Deadpool chattered non-stop along the way. Su Ming felt as if there were a hundred ducks beside him, and Deadpool's talking speed was annoyingly fast. So, he chose to ignore him temporarily, as his questions were pointless.

Perhaps Dr. Holloway wanted to chat with Deadpool to learn about some future stories, but the doctor was currently out of breath, trying to keep up with the team, his mouth only used for breathing.

The mage was rather relaxed; though a mage might give the impression of a delicate profession, the Magic Prince grew up in a Barbarian Tribe and underwent Voodoo transformations, far from ordinary.

This humid environment reminded Monac of the rainforest; he quite liked London.

"Hey, you're still so aloof. If I offered you my behind, would you love me a little more?" Deadpool slid down the ladder swiftly, feigning a heartbroken demeanor to bother Su Ming.

Su Ming closed his eyes and sighed: "Godslayer, pipe unclogger..."

The weapon shining with golden light appeared instantly in the sewer, transforming into a massive hand-drill, emitting intense light, resembling a giant steel serpent as Su Ming carried it on his shoulder, each spiral looking ominous.

"What did you just say? The water noise is too loud; I couldn't hear you. Did you say you wanted me to unclog your behind?"

Deadpool held his breath, the arm-thick and spiky thing was terrifying. He almost forgot his cousin had weapons that transformed. Where was this thing hidden earlier?

"No, I was just saying that if I used your plan, would you be happier? Hehe....."

"Oh, is that so? As long as you behave, would cousin ever let you down? We are family after all, hehe." Su Ming chuckled, shook the Godslayer a bit, turned it back to a scimitar, and returned it to its sheath.

Deadpool breathed a sigh of relief, quickened his pace, and always posed while getting off the ladder, feeling a chill on his backside. He wanted to plant his feet firmly again.

Su Ming also sighed in relief; the chatterbox was finally quiet for a while, seemingly discovering Deadpool's weakness simultaneously. He might have disciplined him with the Godslayer in the past, as Deadpool has a psychological shadow over this weapon.

The group descended to the bottom amidst the roaring water, London's drainage system was decent, providing a place to stand even in weather like this.

Though next to them was a scene resembling an underground river, as if standing on a dike.

I've heard that during this era, some people used sewers as bomb shelters, avoiding German bombing. London supposedly had many underground hospitals and granaries, though the truth is uncertain.

"Monac, which way are we going?" Su Ming turned back to ask the mage, relying on his sensing to guide through such places.

The Magic Prince closed his eyes to sense, then pointed in a direction. Thus, Su Ming immediately dispatched Deadpool to take the lead while he brought up the rear.
