Chapter 229 - Chapter 199: Change

King Namor, that is the young man's name.

He is a human-Atlantean hybrid, which gives his skin a slightly bluish tint, as Atlanteans have light blue skin, resembling some aquatic creature.

However, he also inherited part of it, which is his elf-like pointed ears.

His father was originally a captain of a long-distance cargo ship, who unintentionally rescued the Queen of Atlantis, Namor's mother, who was trapped in a fishing net.

They fell in love, and later had Namor.

But the Atlanteans soon found their queen, believing that humans had kidnapped her, and so they killed Namor's father.

The Queen had no way to explain. Her status wouldn't allow her to admit that she fell in love with a human, so she could only take Namor back to Atlantis and let him live there.

However, because of Namor's unique skin color, he suffered discrimination since childhood and blamed everything on his human father. If it wasn't for him, he wouldn't have such skin color.

Perhaps it was due to the high pressure of the deep sea, coupled with the fact that Atlantis never saw the light of day.

Everything around him made him extremely paranoid, hating all humans and considering himself purely Atlantean. After his mother's death, he had to use violence to inherit the throne, and this dark reality made him even more paranoid.

................

Actually, it's due to bloodline issues. Staying too long in water or on land would drive him insane, but he was still unaware of this. He had been living underwater for decades.

Comparing him with his neighbor Arthur, although both are Sea Kings, there are many differences in capabilities.

Arthur's strength is 1500 times that of an ordinary human, with super defense impervious to knives and bullets, and he wears a set of excellent armor; he has several followers. His attitude towards humans and the Undersea People is impartial.

Sometimes, when people are in trouble, Arthur would even send them fish to eat.

But just like the Sea Queen that Su Ming dealt with before, he's too impulsive, his lack of intelligence being his biggest flaw.

Namor, however, has a strength cap of about 250 tons, mostly shirtless or wearing a leather vest, and uses a Trident or Long Sword, but fights bare-handed more often.

He has no followers, doesn't like land people, and can directly control sea creatures and tsunamis through telekinesis. He often falls into madness, losing all rationality before being defeated, a madman filled with power, and crucially, he can fly.

On his ankles are a pair of small wings similar to dove wings, which allow him to fly, with a speed of about 65 miles per hour.

Not very fast, but the ability to fly is very unfriendly to Deathstroke.

If it were a story in the comics, Namor would mistakenly believe that Americans were the ones who killed his people, thus attacking New York with a great flood in revenge, ultimately turning enemies into allies to save the world together.

But now things are uncertain because the timeline of the story doesn't match, with many pieces seeming half-true, and too many forces are interfering, certainly increasing the complexity to a higher level.

Su Ming has already ordered all factories and offices under the company to be prepared for flood prevention. If a tsunami occurs, they must strictly follow the contingency plan to evacuate.

But he cannot confirm the exact time the tsunami will happen, or even if it will happen at all.

...............

A German Z-class destroyer is sailing on the Atlantic Ocean, approaching the Bermuda Sea Region amidst a gale and torrential rain.

This is a very famous Mysterious Sea Region, and recent intelligence also confirms sightings of Atlantean activities nearby.

The ship flies the Imperial Navy flag of the Third Empire, with dark waves spattering the red-black-white dyed fabric.

High above, the lookout is constantly on guard for possible American warships, while the sailors on the rear deck are laboriously loading modified deep-sea bombs onto the catapult.

When the ship reaches the designated position, massive bombs are thrown into the water one by one, creating towering white water columns tens of meters high on the deep blue sea surface, amidst which blue electric light can also be seen.

The bombardment lasts for nearly half an hour, after which they've exhausted all their bombs, and then the captain orders to release the trawl net and return to the waters they just passed through.

"It's disgusting, are we doing the right thing? I mean, they seem like civilians."

Initially, it was the navy operating with fishing boats, but being so close to the U.S. mainland, once discovered, it was difficult for the fishing boats to escape. Later, Xiaohuzi specially modified a batch of destroyers for this task.

As the fishing net is gradually lifted by the mechanical arm away from the water, the rushing water returns to the ocean, and the soldier operating the machine takes the opportunity to quietly complain to his comrade.

They joined the Imperial Navy to defeat the British and avenge the High Seas Fleet, but the Supreme Leader had them engage in slaughter.

The net rises higher, revealing those blue corpses; some are complete enough to distinguish gender, their blue-skinned women having facial features exactly like humans, with small shell accessories quietly adorning their necks and earlobes, lying among the fish pulled up alongside.

Except for their skin color, they're just like the wives back home, just civilians.

The sergeant beside him gave him a pat: "Keep it down; if the Gestapo hears us, we're done for."

"Don't worry, sir; with this storm and rain, those guys won't come onto the deck," the young man said, but still looked cautiously at the entrance to the lower deck: "Besides, I think they're not the Gestapo but Hydra....."
