Chapter 250 - Chapter 218: The Mage's Battle

Holloway's face was a bit pale, but he held his weapon steadily.

Indeed, it was his first time truly getting involved in an incident involving a Superpower User, but his willpower could fully support any of his actions.

Even though becoming a Superhero isn't just about dealing with a few bank robbers, Holloway and the first batch of heroes still have a long way to go.

Su Ming walked leisurely through the battlefield from earlier; everything here was uneven and pitted. If it weren't for the decent construction quality of the Kama Taiji buildings, he worried that the entire complex might slide off the mountain top.

The Symbiote wasn't the only escaped prisoner; as he moved forward, Su Ming casually dealt with a few Subordinate Demons. These things can't be killed; if slain in the real world, they'll just undergo Rebirth in the Hell Plane.

However, Su Ming didn't like having Demons watching while he worked, so he sent them home. They all vowed revenge, but Su Ming quickly passed the buck.

"I was hired by the Master Ancient to handle you all. If you want revenge, feel free to look for her."

Watching as the Demons died grudgingly under the Great Sword, each red face turning an ashy blue, Su Ming felt quite satisfied.

During the battle, he even let the doctor get some action, using dozens of bullets to kill a Little Demon.

But it wasn't shot to death.

"Bang!"

"Ah!"

"Bang!"

"Ah!"

"Bang bang bang bang!"

"Oh oh oh oh!!"

"Reload."

"Humans, can't you put me out of my misery quickly?"

The Little Demon was teary-eyed. If it tried to cast spells, the person would slap it with the Great Sword like a door panel, and if it resisted, the person would use a Transforming Weapon to cuff it.

It could only stand there and let another human use a cruel instrument to torment it.

Dozens of bullets riddled its head, piercing the skin. Its whole goat face swelled a circle, and its head became heavier, but it just couldn't die.

The bullets and guns didn't contain Magic Power and weren't lethal to it, but being shot was painful, and the torment seemed endless.

"Can't you cooperate a little and die quickly?" The person in Black and Yellow Armor was somewhat impatient.

"What can I do? We Demons can't be killed by conventional weapons. What do you want me to do?" The Demon looked at the speaker with grief and indignation, feeling truly unfortunate to be caught by him.

The Earth is too dangerous, not only with the Supreme Mage but also with such brute force freaks, using lower Demons for fun. You're the real Demon!

"Sigh, do you know why you've been just a Little Demon for so long? Because you can't read people's minds, your skills are sadly lacking..." The person in Black and Yellow Armor rubbed the Great Sword across its scalp, allowing the Demon to hear the cold metal sound: "You don't necessarily need someone to see you off to go home, right?"

"I...I understand..."

After Holloway reloaded, he fired another shot, and the Demon let out a dramatic scream before internally combusting and turning to black Ashes. It seized the opportunity to commit suicide.

"Congratulations, doctor, you can now call yourself a Demon Hunter." Su Ming patted the doctor's shoulder affectionately.

Holloway twitched the corner of his mouth, feeling that they wasted so many bullets on an enemy that Su Ming could've dispatched with one stroke.

Of course, Su Ming knew, but weren't they a two-person team now?

If Holloway never felt effective, he might develop an inferiority complex. Now, having eliminated an enemy, doesn't he feel much better?

Moreover, even though he didn't understand Su Ming's intention, he still fired according to orders. This was a good start; a subordinate who follows orders in battle will be more useful.

"Hey, Cloak, do you want a go too?" Su Ming turned his head to the Cloak floating nearby, which looked wilted, as if about to fall asleep.

"...." The Cloak immediately perked up, its collar spinning like a fan, showing a strong refusal.

"Alright, it's your loss."

Su Ming shrugged, grabbed another bound Demon nearby, and slashed it, turning it to Ashes. Before turning into Ashes, the goat face of the Demon surprisingly showed a relieved, human-like smile, as if it had achieved enlightenment.

The aura deep in the temple hadn't changed since they arrived; the gray light column neither expanded nor shrank.

This indicated that it was still a stalemate. Since they intended to let the Ancient One accept the commissioned service, the timing, of course, was crucial.

Adding flowers to the brocade can't compare to sending charcoal in the snow.

The distance wasn't far, so Su Ming decided to dawdle for a while. After all, if Su Ming wanted to hurry over, he could get there quickly without worrying about messing up.

But the Magic Floating Cloak seemed to sense his thoughts; it directly flew behind him and draped itself over him.

A strong buoyancy came, propelling Su Ming forward in mid-air. He had no chance to refuse, even if he wanted to.

"Wait, your color doesn't match my uniform. It's embarrassing to meet people like this."

Saying so, but Su Ming knew the Cloak had detected something and delaying openly was inappropriate, so he reluctantly went along with it.

Namor's disappearance was strange, which was the most important issue now.

The Cloak directly took Su Ming to the battlefield edge, with Holloway sprinting fiercely in pursuit.

If it weren't for these people dressed like Mages, Su Ming would have thought he had walked into the wrong movie set. It was like an epic battle between Jedi Knights and Sith Warriors.

Both sides were Mages, with various light effects crisscrossing the battlefield. Weird and unseen Magic was thrown around recklessly, and the two groups were engaged in close combat.

The Master Ancient's bald head was very conspicuous; Su Ming almost immediately spotted her among the hundreds on the battlefield. She wore a yellow silk robe, with a white light column bursting forth from behind her. The powerful White Magic Energy made everything around seem ethereal.

But her opponent was also a woman, someone he had never seen before. She wore her hair in large waves, with black eye shadow and lipstick, and dressed in a revealing low-cut tight leather suit, with long legs wrapped in black stockings and boots.

She possessed extremely deep Black Magic skills. The black light column was formed by her Magical Power, crushing against the Ancient's Magic, both intertwining to form a soaring gray light column.

The battle between the two was evenly matched, clashing in close combat and engaging in mid-range Magic duels. They fought from the real world into the Mirror Space and shattered the Mirror Space to return to reality.

Time and space fragments emerged and vanished around them, making it impossible for outsiders to intervene. The level of combat was far more terrifying than what the naked eye could see.

Both sides' magic moves were nullified by the other. The Ancient repeatedly used the Eye of Agamotto, but the opponent also had a Magical Artifact that disrupted the Time Gem's operation.

"This... land first."

The Cloak set him down in a hidden spot, and Su Ming took the chance to hide behind a broken palace wall, trying to find any recognizable people on both sides.

"Cloak, what do you think?"

The collar of the Magic Floating Cloak rubbed against his Mask, making a rustling sound, indicating that there was something fishy about this.
