Morning came faster than expected.
It didn't feel very unfamiliar.
He took off his shirt, as if the cloth was strangling his chest.
Leaning on the sink, Si-Hun satred at his reflection in the mirror.
Eyes still heavy from last night.
"Wow.." he murmured.
Splashing the first ounces of water onto his face, he went off to wake his brother up, towel still in his hand.
By opening the window, he let the sunlight creep through, warm and shiny.
"Awhh..Don't do that first thing in the morning!" Ji-Ho complained.
"It's quite late, young man. Consider waking up."
Ji-Ho side eyed Si-Hun with one eye.
"I'm not in a military confinement."
"Well, I can't spoil you."
Ji-Ho finally woke up, throwing his blanket across the bed.
"Nu-uh. Wrap it up." Si-Hun said with a sarcastic tone.
"You're not my mom. How many times do I tell u that?" Ji-Ho spoke.
"Go and wash your face. I'm getting breakfast ready."
Saying this, Si-Hun went to the kitchen to get something ready, still shirtless.
"Toast and eggs?" He looked towards Kuro with a silly look.
"That sounds nice. He'll like it I'm sure."
"Don't you think he needs something.. something engaging?"
"How can you get engaged with food?"
"Are you making a joke?"
"Respectively.. No."
"Oh my God."
Kuro genuinely didn't understand what Si-Hun meant, though he took it.
Taking off his towel from his neck, he picked up the spatula.
Breaking the eggs into the bowl with just on hand, he beat them.
Then out the toasts on the stove.
Carefully, he leaned towards the pan, trying to create small shapes with the eggs.
"Ow!"
"I didn't hear you shout?" Kuro asked.
"It's just a small burn. It'll go away."
"Master, what has gotten to act you this way?"
"It feels as if I am always thinking about something.. someone? What's so interesting about it?" Si-Hun thought.
"I'm.. My mind is somewhat occupied. What do you say?"
"You wouldn't like what I'll say. I'll.. rather stay quiet."
Si-Hun gave him a wierd look, then continued cooking.
Ji-Ho came and took a seat.
Si-Hun had decorated the small plate.
Very meaningful to him.
"Hahahahahha! Brother, you did NOT make me this, did you?"
"Just eat."
"Okay! I'll 'just eat'."
Taking a seat in the table alongside Ji-Ho, Si-Hun began eating as well.
Breakfast was quick.
Quite..
"I'd like a nice day home."
"Great. I have some work today. Stay like a good boy."
"Come on."
Si-Hun went to his room to get changed.
"I have a long day ahead.. I don't know about it. How do I even pull it off?" He talked to himself while doing so.
"Why am I being such a coward? It's going to be.. fine. Yes, fine."He said while exhaling deeply.
After coming to the living room, he said to Ji-Ho, who was watching the TV.
"Bud, TV so early in the morning? Go for a walk or exercise. You're getting lazy here!" He said to him.
"Anyways, I'll be off to work. Take care of the house while I'm gone." Saying this, he went for the door.
Ji-Ho nodded in response.
Before leaving, he needed to leave protection outside the house.
"Kuro.. Should I leave a blue aura here? I don't know.. I don't feel safe leaving him alone like this."
"Be more openly relaxed, master. He's going to be fine you know. But.. in case you do want to, I wouldn't oppose."
Before giving Kuro an unsure look, Si-Hun held his hand up and summoned the three combustion auras.
"One of you have to stay here.. the other two would update me about my home. Got it?"
The tiny fires moved in an orbit around Si-Hun, then one of them went through the door inside the house.
It seemed almost unreal.. very out of this world.
Si-Hun stared, admiring what he could call his.
"I love this."
Kuro was unnoticeably looking at Si-Hun, trying to read what he meant.
"Let's leave."
They left from there.
On the ride, Si-Hun was thinking something that felt foreign to him.
"It'll be her first day working.. I'm glad she invited me."
The portal he was going into was quite small.
The previous one felt abnormal in front of this.
"Oh hey man! Where had you been bro?!" Si-Hun was greeted by Ji-Ho's loud call.
A smile appeared on Si-Hun's face as he got off the bike and almost jogger towards his friend.
"Man.. it's been a while! How're you doing?" He asked.
"I was doing fine.. but I'm finer now that I've seen you're alive. Brings me at peace for sure." Jae-Un replied.
"Don't say that.. I missed you, to be honest."
"I was looking forward to a fight together, man!"
"Say less." Si-Hun said with a dab.
"I seem happier. Wow."
"He should meet his friends more often.." Kuro whispered to himself.
They were walking together, when Jae-Un spoke up.
"Yoo, you remember her..? The new mate?"
"Oh.. her. Unfortunately, I do."
"WHAT do you mean 'unfortunately'!? You know I like her!"
"Alright, alright. Fortunately."
"She.. and I have been talking a lot recently..but I want to take it a step further."
"Further.. romantically?"
"Yeah.."
"And I need your help in that."
